Hwang Yunseong
"So si Seobin na 'yong boyfriend ko, at 'di na ikaw? Pero bakit?" she took a sip from her coffee while waiting for an answer.
It's been three days since nakalabas si Hyewon sa ospital. She's back at work, pero madalas, nakaupo lang muna siya since bawal sa 'kanya 'yong masyadong stress.
I am with her at the coffee shop. Break time ko, and wala pa namang masyadong costumers. Kasama ako sa mga tumutulong sa 'kanya na alalahanin 'yong lahat ng mga bagay bago 'yong insidente. Even though it hurts me, I'm still helping her remember stuff.
"We broke up on my birthday, last 2016 because of a car accident. This isn't actually your first time having an amnesia. During our college days, three years after the accident, nagka-amnesia ka na. Well both of us rather. Pero we met each other again because of me misplacing my I.D at the library." I explained.
"Eh pano ko naging boyfriend si Seobin?"
"I wasn't there when he asked you to be his boyfriend. You were at the States nun. Nalaman nalang namin nila Ara na kayo na pala ni Seobin nung.. uh.. b-bumalik ka nung January." muntikan pa akong madulas don sa part about what happened kay Lia. Buti nalang, natawid ko 'yon kahit papano. Sana nalang, 'di niya 'yon napansin.
"Ah, ganun ba? Eh ano 'tong singsing ko? Ikakasal na kami?"
She showed me her ring that made my heart shattered. Ang dramatic pakinggan, but it really hurts. It hurts seeing the person you love being engaged to someone else.
"O-oo. Sa December."
"Talaga? Aattend ka naman?"
"Oo naman. Bakit naman hindi?" I bitterly smiled, and took a sip from my coffee. Shit hurts, but I wanted this. "By the way, I'll take you somewhere--Ara, may pupuntahan lang kami ni Hyewon. Sama ka?"
"Saan?" replied Ara.
"Kay Lia." I was expecting that. Nanlaki 'yong mga mata niya nung banggitin ko 'yong pangalan ni Lia. She also gave me that unsure look, pero nginitian ko naman siya. She sighed, and nodded as a sign of saying yes. Kaya naman lumabas na kami ng shop, at sumakay sa kotse ko.
