Will's POV

"This isn't a demolition notice, it's a notice of extermination." Jughead said the next day at a Swords and the Serpents meeting.

"We've already said our goodbye to Southside, Jughead." Toni said.

"Today, it's Southside High, tomorrow, it's the Wyrm." Jughead replied, "Everything that makes the Southside home, is gonna disappear. If we roll over now, it's all over."

"It's just a building, Jug." Toni responded.

"No, Toni, it's the soul of the Southside." Jughead exclaimed. "The Uktena fought and died trying to protect that land. Our parents fought to keep it safe during the riots. Now, it's our turn. It's our time. This is our fight. So, who's with me?" he paused. "Who's ready to go to war?"

"I don't want you coming with us, Will." Sweet Pea said, when we were getting ready for the protest.

"No. I don't care, I'm coming with you." I replied, simply. "You're just going to have to deal with it." He knew it best to not argue with me.

"At least dress warm." Sweet Pea said.

"Of course, I'm not freezing my ass off protesting for a crappy school." I responded. He started laughing, then leaned down and kissed me. We stood there, making out for a few minutes before I pulled away.

"Come on, let's go before we get carried away." I said, and I dragged him out of the trailer.

"Well, well, well, cavalry's finally here. Guess that means we got Hiram's attention." Jughead said, as Archie skidded on his bike towards us.

"Are you nuts? Chaining yourself to this place? They're gonna tear it down in two days, dude." the redhead responded.

"Not unless Hiram wants the blood of nine young Serpents on his hands." Jughead replied.

"Eleven." I corrected, and rubbed my pregnant belly.

"We're not going anywhere." Jughead continued. "Go and tell your boss we said that."

Archie sped away and we were left to ourselves.

"Are you warm enough?" asked Sweet Pea, worried.

"I'm fine, just like the other ten times you asked me." I groaned. Fangs laughed.

"What're you laughing at?" Sweet Pea angrily asked my half-brother.

"You guys." he said, coldly.

"Shut up." I said, and punched him in the arm.

"You got room for one more." a familar voice said. I looked up, and standing there was Macie Carpenter, a former Serpent and my best friend.

"Macie!" I exclaimed. She ran over to me and hugged me tightly. She was wearing her Serpent jacket, a white t-shirt accompanied by a plaid shirt and a pair of ripped skinny jeans. "Is that really you?"

"It is Will, I'm back for good now, so let me tell you my story, and let me help you tell yours." Macie said. "Maybe after this protest."

Sweet Pea, Fangs and I helped chain her up and she sat down next to us. It was getting dark, so I snuggled into Sweet Pea's chest to help me keep warm, and he put his arm around me and onto my stomach, making sure the baby was okay. We eventually fell asleep like this, only to be woken up by loud noises at 6 am.

Early the next morning, Betty came to give Jughead a hot drink to warm him up, and talk to her boyfriend. But that was all our visitors for the day, so I used this time to catch up with Macie, who just appeared out of the blue.

"I bet you're going to ask why I left." Macie said,

"Well, yeah. You completely left over two years ago, left the Serpents, left me." I said, my voice getting sadder.

She sighed. "I had to get away, from...them." Her parents. She was talking about her parents. She was suffering with the same thing I was, abusive parents, not the same reason as me, because she was bisexual.

"I understand. But you could've told me." I said, and placed my hand on hers. "Where did you go?"

"Past the border, to Canada." Macie answered. "I couldn't have told you, your mom would've beaten it out of you, and then my parents would've found me."

"I hated you, for months." I responded. "But, I realised you wanted to leave, so I should leave you to it."

"What's happened since I left? How's Waverly?" she asked. My eyes welled up with tears at the mention of her, and as Sweet Pea heard what she said, he sat down next to me, and pulled me into his chest.

"It's okay. You're okay." he soothed.

"What the hell, Macie!?" yelled Fangs.

"I don't know what happened." she said.

"Do you want me to tell her?" Fangs asked me. I nodded. "Waverly's dead."

"Wait? What? Seriously?" she said.

"Just leave her alone." Sweet Pea said, and he pulled me up and we moved away from her, and then Fangs joined us.

"Come on, let's get you home." Sweet Pea said.

"But, the protest...." I muttered.

"We'll be back before you know it, okay." he replied. I nodded and we left.

"Save our school! Save our school!" the former Southside High students were hanting the next day, when we were back and chained to the school.

Then, all of a sudden, Archie and the rest of the wrestling team pushed through the crowd towards us. FP walked, and stood in front of his son.

"Cops may let you by Red, but you come in here acting like a big man, and I'll knock you down--"

"Dad, don't," Jughead interrupted. "They'll throw you in jail. Don't give them an excuse." The boy pushed his dad to the side as best he could with his arms tied together.

"I'm sorry, Jughead." Archie said.

"Me, too." Jughead replied. "I'm not gonna fight you, Archie. Look around. It may have taken a couple days but now people know what Hiram's doing. What's happening here. This fight is not gonna go away. We're not going to go away. So, go on. Cut us down." he raised his arms and his chains with it. "I want them to see you do it."

Archie lifted the cutters, and cut his best friend's chains in half. With that, the rest of the team started cutting us down too. They cut Sweet Pea and Fangs, and pushed them through the crowd which was booing the teens.

Another guy cut me down, and pushed me forward.

"Don't you fucking touch her." Sweet Pea yelled to the kid coming back towards me, heading to the kid. I put my hand on his chest, and he looked down at me.

"Don't." I said to him and we walked down the appearing walkway.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Sweet Pea asked.

"I'm fine. I just wanna go home." I replied.
