Sehun POV
Today is the day I teach Sejeong how to drive. She's been planning to take her driver's license exam for a long time now. She couldn't take it earlier due to her busy schedules. I offered to teach her and come with her on the exam for moral support.
"Sejeongie come down the car's ready" I called for her
"Coming" she says going out in a hurry
We both hopped into the car. Sejeong on the driver's seat while I sat on the passenger seat.
"Okay first step is to know the parts of the gearboxes 'P' is for park, 'R' is for reverse, 'N' is for neutral and 'D' is for drive" I instructed
"Ne oppa" she says listening carefully
"Okay first step is to put your right foot on the left-hand pedal which is the brake and push down" I said
"Like this?" she said while pushing the pedal
"Then you start the car using the key or start button and with your foot still on the brake, move the shifter to 'D' if you want to drive forward or 'R' if you wish to reverse" I said showing her the buttons and gears to use
"I think I'm already getting the hang of it oppa" she says as she drives and looks at me
"Hey eyes on the road" I said pointing in front of us
"Eyyy we aren't gonna crash" she teased
She was a very confident driver. She drove well even in tight spaces.
"When I get my driver's license I'll drive both of us on a date soon" Sejeong says smiling at the thought
"I won't have to drive you to places now you can do it by yourself" I say to her feeling upset that she's slowly getting independent
"I'll always need oppa to be with me on my road trips. I'll share the beautiful views with you" she says cheering me up
"Let's go on a road trip after you get your license then" I suggested
"Where to oppa?" she asked
"Maybe Busan or Jeju? Somewhere far away for a long trip" I told her thinking about where to take her
"I'll look forward to it then" she says while parking the car on our way back to our home
"When is your exam?" I asked her
"Next week is the soonest date so I'll take it by then" she answered
"I'll clear my schedule to cheer you on your exam them" I say
We go back inside our home and sit in the living room. I cuddle her into a hug.
"I hope I pass the test" she says feeling anxious
"I know you will. You studied hard and practiced many times" I cheered her up
We watched TV and cuddled on the couch for the whole afternoon.
"It's almost dinner time, what should we eat?" I asked her
"Let's see what's on the fridge" she gets up at goes to the kitchen as I follow her
"Should we make bossam and kimchi stew?" she says seeing that we have all the ingredients for it
"Okay, I'll chop up the vegetables for the stew while you boil the pork?" I suggested
"Okiiee" she says as she pulls out the pork from the freezer
We started cooking dinner peacefully. While we were cooking Sejeong took pictures of me. She would always take pictures secretly and edit them. Most of the pictures were me. I found it sweet how she would take pictures of me secretly and seeing her admiring me looked cute.
"You look so cute here oppa" she says showing me my picture she just took
I rested my head on her shoulder to see the photo.
"Yeah you took it well" I complimented her
She's been interested in taking photos these days that I'm thinking of taking her to a photo studio and take lessons with her.
"Dinner's almost done, let's fix the table" I inform her
"Okay I'll just take my camera back to my room" she says going upstairs
I wait for her to come back as we eat dinner together.
"You have recording tomorrow right?" she asked me
"Yeah for a collab with Chanyeol hyung" I answer
"I'll be leaving early again so you might not see me in the morning" I added
"It's okay. I'm also leaving for musical practice" she says
"Its the musical with Xiumin hyung and Kyungsoo hyung right?" I asked
"Yeah the military musical" she answered
"We're both getting busy again" I say my thoughts
"It's okay we'll still have time for each other remember take it slow this year" she reminds me
I love how she's the one to always keep me calm and grounded at stressful times like this. I don't know what I'd do without her.
