Chapter 22

Sejeong's POV

I woke up and saw a sleeping Sehun beside me. It felt so unreal to be with him right now. He confessed yesterday that he loved me and gave me a promise ring.

We were still on the last episodes of We Got Married and didn't have much time.

"It felt like a dream to wake up to his face every morning. I knew it was gonna be over some time so I don't want to get used to it. I keep thinking that it was all just a dream and reality was gonna hit me soon and I don't want to be the broken one when that happens" I cried at my interview

The MC's cried softly at her statement.

"Unnie must be going through a lot these days" Kyulkyung said sadly crying

Sehun's interview

"Next week is our farewell episode and I prepared everything for Sejeong. I knew that if she planned it she will only get heartbroken since it will sink into her but she doesn't know that I have a surprise at the end" he says

*the next week*

Sehun's POV

I'm picking Sejeong up from our house tonight since I prepared a candlelight dinner for us.

"You look all dashing today" she says as she greets me from the front door

"Today is a special night I prepared a lot for us" I said trying not to say the words "final day or end"

"Shall we?" I said opening the car door for her

"We shall" she says going inside

We arrive at the restaurant and get led to the rooftop where the dinner will be held.

She looked amazed at the beautiful scenery beside us you could see the entirety of Seoul.

"It looks beautiful" Sejeong says in awe

"Not as beautiful as you" I say as I caressed her cheeks

She held my hand and we sat down to dinner.

While eating the mood suddenly became sad. I thought that it might've sinked in to Sejeong that this is our final night as a married couple.

"So this is it huh?" she asked with the feeling of regret

"Yeah it seems like it" I said avoiding the wrong words to say

She hung her head down finally letting the tears slip.

Suddenly the lights turn off leaving us in the dark.

"AAAHHHH" Sejeong screamed in shock wondering what was happening

I was calm since this was all part of the plan.

The lights turn back on showing me with a notepad.

"Thank you for the 1 year and 1 month of loving and caring for me"

"What's happening? Do they know this?" she asked looking at all the staff hiding

The staff all nodded with proud faces

"I love you, thank you and I'm sorry might be the three phrases I say to you the most. I may not have been the perfect husband that you hoped for but I hope to work on being the perfect boyfriend for you this time around"

Sejeong let out a chuckle at my silly/sweet gesture.

"Sejeong will you be my girlfriend?"

"What does this mean?" she asked visibly confused

"This is for real now. No more cameras, and no more reality show. It's just you and me" I said

"For real this time?" she asked

I nodded back

She pulled me closer and kissed me on the lips.

"Is that a yes?" I asked separating from the kiss

"A million times yes" she says

*a few months later*

Sejeong's POV

"Unnie I missed you" Somi says

Today the IOI members decided to reunite at a cafe and bond.

"How's life?" I asked them

"I'm now signed with Sublime Artist Agency doing solo activities" Nayoung unnie says

"WJSN just made a comeback so I've been promoting" Yeonjung says

"I'm on hiatus right now since I just made a comeback last month" Chungha says

"Weki meki is having a comeback soon so we've been busy with that" Yoojung and Doyeon says

"I'm going to be in a drama title 'How to buy a friend' so that's been keeping me busy" Sohye says

"I've been taking a break from DIA promotions but they made a comeback. I just needed a bit more time" Chaeyeon says

"I have a comeback soon and a reality show" Somi says

"I've been busy promoting in China more since I've taken a little break from Korean media" Kyulkyung says

"I've just stepped down from my role as MC in Music Core so I've also decided to take a hiatus" Mina says

After "We got married" ended IOI disbanded 11 members, went to our separate places but promise to always be there, support one another, and reunite every year. I debuted as a solo artist and actress at the same time.

I went home and saw my boyfriend Sehun at the couch playing with his switch.

"Sejeongie" he called for me

"You went home early today?" I asked him

"Yeah Chanyeol hyung and I just finished filming our music video and we start promotions next month so you have me for 1 month" he says looking all happy

Sehun and I became a real couple only boyfriend and girlfriend this time. You may be wondering but yes we both decided to move in together in an apartment that was just right for both of us. It was a big step for a normal relationship but we just got used to living together from the show that it felt weird not to since I also didn't have to live in a dorm now and EXO already lived separately. We plan to move into a house in the future after we save up for it.

"I'm glad that we could spend more time together before your promotions" I said

It's been a struggle to have time for each other after the show since it wasn't scheduled. We had to make time ourselves. We both have been understanding and patient about it which helped us in the long run of our relationship.

"I missed you" I said while cuddling closer to him

"I know you did" he says giving me a kiss on the forehead

"I'm sorry I couldn't make more time for you" he added

"No matter how few times we meet I will still love you more everyday" I say comforting him

"I love you and I will never stop loving you" he says

"Who knew that I'd fall in love with my virtual husband?"
