The battlefield and love
The kind that just went against
And never fit like a glove
Love that somehow went wrong
Love that never felt
Like it sat on a throne
Love that was short
Never happened
Or didn't last long
And prone to be
A catastrophe
Love that refused to be
The adherence
And the disappearance
That left one all alone
Love that was never quite felt
In the heart or down to the bones
Love that just wanted more
Love that got shaken and stirred up
At the very core
And what for
All for simply wanting
And desiring more
Having no flip side
But instead closing
All windows and doors
Of the heart and mind
And shattering the inside
And outside
Even seen within the eyes
And coming as no surprise
As true love didn't rise
Wasn't very wise
Yet fully comprised
The entire time
Of the very thing
You never wanted
No desire to ever experience
In any sense of the word
And having felt and observed
Along with having one's love life
Thrown for a curve
And with not much to speak of
For this and more
Has gave way
To the battlefield of love
