DISCONTINUED The First Lie (Mako x Oc) Legend of Korra

Book 1 - Chapter 3

"Yeah but we can't all be the avatar," Liana spoke rudely, Mako walks over to the bag,

"Then I wouldn't say you had nothing," he spoke annoyed at her statement he started packing up the equipment

"Sorry I didn't mean..." she stopped before she said anything more harmful Bolin looked at her

"No, it's alright... it's just... ever since we lost our parents we've been on our own, well until we found Liana in an alleyway that it," He spoke to her saddened by remembering their parents,

"I'm so sorry I didn't know," she stopped, Mako stood up carrying the equipment bag.

"So how are we gonna come up with the money," Mako said trying to change the subject.

"Oh-oh I got it I got it I've been teaching Pabu circus tricks now people would pay good money to see that," He said squatting down and putting Pabu in the air.

"Come on Bolin we need serious ideas," Mako spoke bluntly Bolin pouted

"I was serious," Bolin spoke disappointedly He hoped he could help Mako with one of his idea's as when they were younger Mako did all the work in order for them to survive and he didn't want Bolin to help. Mako walked passed the two other team members

"Don't worry about it I'll think of something I always do," he said determined to get the money to get into the tournament. Liana gets up and follows Mako.

"Hey Mako wait up I can help you guys I just got a job at a restaurant," she spoke Mako just kept on walking

"It doesn't matter I'll just do it by myself ok," He said to look forward still he then stops because the small girl grabs his arm he turns to her.

"Can you stop doing that, Bolin and I are only trying to help you and all you do it treat us like we are kids again, we aren't 15 anymore we can take care of ourselves," He looks at her annoyed, he breaths in then look at her and smile a bit

"You're a pain you know that,"

Mako walks into the room holding Bolin's favourite dumplings

"Bo, I'm back I picked up your favourite dumplings," He spoke to Bolin who wasn't there

"Hey I found some work at the power plant pays some decent money," he says than throws a dumpling in his mouth

"Bolin? You here bro?" He asks getting no response Liana pipes up

"Woo are those dumplings? give me some," she walked up the stairs and ran over to the couch where Mako was sitting.

"Have you seen Bolin," he asks handing her one of the dumplings, she pops it into her mouth.

"Nope not since I left," she munched on her food, The firebender looks out the window to Air Temple Island.

"Huh I bet the little love bird is making a house call," Mako says and gets Liana to sit there confused but still gets up and follows him anyway

The two benders had gone to Air Temple Island to see if Bolin was there. They could Korra puffed out from what they could only assume was training, Korra wasn't the only one there as there were two young girls with air nomad clothing they were speaking but neither of the two could make out what they were saying, all of a sudden Korra looks at the two coming their way and earthbends the girls away.

"Oh Hey Mako, Liana," she did awkwardly she tried to act cool but it wasn't working well,

"Hey Korra how you going," Liana waved her masked muffled her voice and covered her face she always had it on out in public and The Island was no exception

"You seen Bolin," Mako bluntly asked not even being polite to ask how she was doing.

"Nice to see you too, thanks for asking Liana I'm good and no I haven't seen him since practice, you think something wrong,"

"I don't know Bolin has a knack for getting into stupid situations, see ya later," He sighs

"Wait I could uhh help you look for him," she tries desperately to get to Mako

"Nah I got it," Mako says Liana sighs

"Mako stop being stubborn and just let her help us if Bolin is in serious trouble the avatar might be helpful," The masked girl says

"We can take Naga," The avatar suggests

"Who's Naga," the firebender asks

"My best friend and a great tracker," She confidentially says

"Your best friend is a.... polar bear-dog somehow that makes perfect sense," Mako says a smirk on his face as the three of them sit on Naga's back.

"I'll take that as a compliment city boy," she smirked back Liana gags

"Can you two stop flirting it's really awkward for me since I'm sitting in the middle," she said holding onto Korra by the waist, the other two looked around awkwardly. They arrived at town square type place a statue of young Lord Zuko stood in the middle.

"Well this is his usual hang out," Mako and Liana get off Naga and go towards some young kids that they knew from their time in the streets,

"You guys seen my brother around here today," Mako said walking up to them with Liana Korra following behind

"Perhaps my memory's a little foggy maybe you can help clear it up," he said deviously as well as flicking his nose meaning he wanted money

"Your good Skoochy a real pro," Mako said handing the street kid some money Korra looked shocked

"Yeah I seen him," He spoke

"When," Mako asked

" 'bout noon," He states shortly

"What was he doing," the firebender interrogated

"He was performing some kind of monkey rat circus and then... might I say Liana you're looking very fine this evening," The girl rolls her eyes and handed him some money, the boy had a crush on her when she first showed up but then stopped it had become a running joke between Them

"What you got on Bolin Skooch," The masked girl bluntly asked

"Shady shin showed up and flashed some serious cash Bo took of with him and his hot rod the triple threats the red monsoons the Agni Kai's all the triads are muscling up for something real big now that's all you're getting out of me, my lady," he bows to Liana than runs off.

"What's he talking about?" The avatar asks

"God don't they ever stop with these," Liana complained

"Sounds like there a turf war brewing and Bolin's about to get caught right in the middle of it," Mako eyes squinted in frustration the three of them get back onto Naga and set off.

A/N: That's the end of that wow that was longer than the others So I spilt it off into 3 chapters unlike the other which I split between 2 chapters. I had to write this twice which was a pain.
