Chapter 6

Mortas laughed blankly before throwing several balls of fire towards Lucius which Lucius dodged easily. Mortas was pleased with the Lord's instincts as he proceeded, "Ask away, Lucius. I can answer any of your three questions but beware; there are many happenings in the present that should not be changed for a better future. So choose wisely and I shall reply you to an appropriate extent."

Mortas knew all the bad events taking place in the Emor kin and also knew it has only one answer which was Lucius himself. However, the tale of mysteries and murders should happen for a larger and greater prospect in the future.

"Alys's murder was no coincidence, isn't it?" Lucius wanted to corroborate that Alys presence at that particular place at that particular time when Knox Garrick was there to fulfill the ritual was no accident.

"No it wasn't a coincidence." Mortas response stunned Lucius although he expected the certain answer. He knew it. He could sense it. He had his suspicion regarding the incident from a long period.

Mortas answer only riled up the fire brewing inside Lucius; Fire of Vengeance. Cursing out few profanities, he continued to think about his next query.

Lucius knew he should ask something where he could get a clear picture of who his foes were and who were his allies.

"Witch Madonna; how is she mixed up in this war? Is she just a moment of assistance or is she more than that?"

Mortas took few moments to answer that particular subject. "Answer to every doubt you have regarding the young Witch is, she is solitary and a common bridge which leads you to all of your purposes."

A common bridge?

What does it mean?

Does it mean that every single of his problems are indirectly linked to Madonna? Does he mean that Madonna is the path he should take to find his inquests?

Lucius did not expect for the young infuriating Witch to play a role of huge importance. No wonder she displayed an amazing strength of powers the other day.

But the question still remains, how in the name of the hell she had done that.

"I thank you for your kind help, Mortas. Lastly I want to know how I can overpower the young witch while I still believe she is not competent compared to me." Mortas was delighted how the threads of fate between the Lord and Madonna were finally falling in place.

Although Mortas not a bodily person but just an embodiment of a record, he was thrilled to know how the Lord use his newly acquired knowledge to his will.

The entire cluster of mysteries was surrounded by Witch Madonna and it was in the hands of the other person to make a friend of the young witch or a foe.

Like they say, every small action has a immense ability to make a change in future, now it all comes into the hands of Madonna and Lucius.

"The young witch is no greater than you and it is a fact, My Lord; although you have to uncover the right time to overpower any source of energy, just like how she did." Mortas smiles as he vanish into the pits of fire extinguishing the entire flames with his exit.

Right time?

It means Madonna knew he would be targeting her with his energy so she had prepared a nostrum accordingly.

Impressive!

He was widely impressed by her actions yet he did not know how she suspected the precise spell and energy from him.

As the cave fell into darkness, Lucius' lips twitched upwards into a devious as a thought went off in his mind. Now that he concentrated on the words spoken by Mortas, he just knew what he had to do.

He was and shall be the mightiest one among him and the young witch so all he has to do was use his intelligence before using his powers.

The young witch has to do his bidding by hook or crook and he would make certain of it. He was being humble all these times but he has to use the shadiness he had inherited from his evil mother.

"Davon" Lucius called out for his butler and his subordinate to designate him with an important task. "You shall go to Knox and propose him a deal for his freedom."

Freedom from life!
