Draco Malfoy X Reader

• First task •

"Merce." I said making her smile.

"Told you their was nothing to worry about." Cedric said, winking.

"For the most part," I laughed, embracing him in a hug as well.

"Thank you..." I whispered to him. He tightened his grip around me.

"You did good job." Krum said shaking my hand with a firm grasp.

I bowed a thank you as we now waited for Harry's arrival.

I was currently in the Gryffindor common room celebrating our victory for retrieving the golden egg.

George came up from behind me and lifted me up on his shoulders.

"Great job out their, love!" George beamed to me.

I couldn't help but laugh as a response. He genitally placed me down and pulled me closer so that I was near his level.

"Y/n listen I've been wanting to tell you something..."

Before George could finish his sentence, his brother dragged him away from me to help lift Harry.

"Ok, byee!" I shout laughing over at the two.

Amelia was sat in the corner, looking down in her lap. I walked over and sat down.

"Amelia -"

- I'm so sorry Y/n, forgive me!" She sobbed laying her head on my shoulder.

"Amelia, I will always forgive you, now could you let go of me, I'm suffocating." I laughed.

"Yeah, sorry just seeing you out there, fighting off that Dragon was horrible. The whole time I was thinking the worst would happen, But then you managed to tame her..." She stares in awe.

"What can I say. You can pick up a thing or two reading about them," I reassured.

A horrible screech sounds from Harry's egg.

"What the bloody hell was that." Ron said as the twins told everyone to leave them, meaning i had to return to my common room.

I didn't leave without giving my sister a hug and congratulating Harry once more as he did the same with me.

I walked along the cold halls in the dungeons and heard faint footsteps following behind me.

My first reaction was to speed up my walking. I could see the door from here so i wasn't that bothered and said the password.

I walked In the black and green common room and immedently walked over to the lit fire place to heat up from walking in the cold dungeons. It wasn't long until I heard someone come out from their dorm room and make their way downstairs.

"Oh, it's you," The voice said making me turn to face them.

"You don't say." I smirked when meeting face to face with the blonde.

He smirked then took a seat on the leather couch. "Why are you up?" He asked.

"I Was 'celebrating' with some Gryffindors if you can call it that." I said looking down at my cold feet.

"What do you mean, 'if you can call it that?' He quoted.

"Everyone was cheering for Harry. I didn't see the point of me being there, really." I said, shrugging and turning to the blonde.

Malfoy looked down at me sympathetically, something I've never seen him do before. He patted the spot next to him. I hesitantly moved to sit with him.

"You were amazing out there." Draco said, avoiding my gaze. The room fell silent which lead me to my next question.

"When Professor Moody turned you into a ferret and McGonagall came to save the day. Why did you get all worked up when you noticed that i was holding you?" I asked, seeing as it had been bothering me ever since it happened.

Draco looked away as if in thought.

"I wasn't...embarrassed, I just wasn't expecting it." he finally answered making me look at him with furrowed brows.

"Why though?"

"Because... I've never been touched by you before. It was just weird. Sounds crazy, I know. Go ahead and laugh," he says.

"Why would I laugh?" I asked him, tilting my head to the side in confusion as he smiled and shook his head.

"You're adorable when you do that..." He said more of a thought than a compliment then widened his eyes once realising he said it out loud.

He stood up and looked back at the stairs.

"I think I'll head back to bed now." He said scratching the back of his neck, nervously.

'I've never witnessed him being so vulnerable before.' I thought.

"Ok, I think it's time I get to my bed too." I said getting up And stretching from the couch looking at him.

"Okay, well see you tomorrow, (L/n)." He said before speed walking away up the steps.

"Wait, malfoy!" I call, making him stop in his tracks. I walked up the steps and stopped, facing him.

"Being yourself isn't a bad thing. I understand that your reputation comes first, but don't let that get in the way of who you are," I said.

Malfoy seemed shocked. I smile.

"Goodnight, Malfoy." I said, walking up the stairs to my dorm.

It's safe to say that I'll be getting a good night sleep tonight.
