Draco Malfoy X Reader

• First task •

Harry puts his hand In the bag, wincing before taking out a spiky looking dragon called -

"The Hungarian Bulger."

"These represent five very real dragons, each of you has been given a golden egg to protect. Your objective is simple: collect the egg."

"This you must do, for each egg contains a clue for the next task up ahead. Any questions?"

No one spoke.

"Very well, good luck, champions. Mr Diggory at the sound of the cannon, you may--

Flich blasted off the canon and it went through the roof of the tent.

Diggory was off.

It was just Me and Harry left. I don't know why but it made it seem even more terrifying.

"You'll do great." Harry turned to me as if noticing my discomfort.

"Thanks Harry, be safe out there." I said, making him smile in return. My name was called and I could feel my heart skipping a beat. I stood up and took a deep breath.

Stepping out of the tent, nothing was heard, but silence. I looked towards the stadium and spot Elizabeth and Stacy holding up a sign with my name on it, how cute.

I looked around the crowd and noticed a flash of platiume blonde hair. Malfoy. He seemed very anxious watching me.

I walked into the light and heard a sudden shriek behind me. Within seconds, my wand was in hand and I casted a spell to tame the beast.

She was furious and charged towards me. I ran the opposite direction of her as many people watched from the stands, intensely. 

I ran towards a large rock and kicked myself off it, flipping backwards and dodging the incoming blast of fire. I ended up landing on her back. I gripped a hold of her to balance myself, then slid down off to stand before her.

I realised that she was staring at my wand a lot which got me thinking.

'She must feel threatened.' I thought carefully lowering my wand while looking straight in her eyes.

"See? I'm not going to harm you." I said kicking my wand away from me as I watched her gaze follow it before meeting back with mines.

She roared and bowed her head.
I took this opportunity to approach her, making sure not to make any sudden movement to make her seem threatened.

Once i was just a meter away from her, I laid my palm on her head making her lean Into my touch. I laughed in disbelief and looked around the people who looked back in shock.

"I'm just here to retrieve this egg." I whispered motioning to the golden egg behind her.

She bowed her head once more and stood aside, allowing me to take it. I quickly took the egg and thanked her before collecting my wand.

I looked around the stadium and lifted up the golden egg to show them all. They erupted into cheers.

"Woohoo!!! Go Y/n!" I heard Elizebeth call.

"Well done y/n! Amazing!" I heard Amelia shout down, clapping aggressivly.

"Wicked!!" The twins shout making me laugh. I glanced over to Malfoy and saw him and his goons clapping and cheering for me with extreme enthusiasm. A smile played at my lips at the sight of them all.

I left the Dragon and sat with the rest of the champions.

"Y/n, you divd amazinge!" Fleur praised then embraced me in a hug.
