Meanwhile in the upside down...

Hopper and Joyce continue to search, quietly walking through the eerie dimension of darkness.

Ultimately, Joyce finds a familiar boy hidden in the webs. "Will! Will!" She shouts. "Will! Oh, my god!"

"Get him out!" She cries. Hopper reaches forward, pulling on a cord that covers his mouth. With all his treats, he manages to pull it out from his throat, then shoot it.

Back in Hawkins...

"Come on!" Mike yells as they all run. They barge into the science lab, where they set eleven down on a table. "Come on, get her on the table." Dustin grunts.

"Ruby, how's your hand?" Dustin asks. "Not good." She says weakly. Mike runs to eleven, taking her hand. "Just hold on a little longer, okay?" He sniffles.

"He's gone. The bad man's gone. We'll be home soon, and my mom... she'll get you your own bed. You can eat as many Eggos as you want. And we can go to the Snow Ball." Mike smiles. "Promise?" Eleven asks softly. "Promise." He nods.

The lights turn off, gaining everyone's attention. "Guys, I can still help you fight." Ruby says as Dustin holds her up. "No, you're hurt." Dustin argues.

"I can't use this hand, but I can use my other!"

The gunfire continues, yet  after a few moments, comes to a stop. "Is... is it dead?" Dustin asks. The door comes busting down, along with a Demogorgon. "Get the wrist rocket! Get the wrist rocket now!" Dustin yells.

Lucas reaches for his bag, frantically searching for it. "Dustin, let me go." Ruby says weakly. "No! You're not fighting it!" He shouts back.

"Yes I am." She pushes him off, lighting her good hand with fire as she approaches the monster. "Ruby!" Dustin screams. "Get away from my friends!" She shouts, shining it brightly, attempting to scare it away.

Dustin shoots the wrist rocket, barely affecting it. "You guys are only making it worse! It's angry!" Ruby shouts. "It's not working!" Lucas screams as he continuously shoots at it.

"Stop it, lucas!" Ruby cries. With another shot, the monster is flung all the way to the back of the room. It turns out to not be the rock, but eleven.

"Eleven, stop!" Mike shouts, running towards her. She responds by forcing him to stay back, causing him to fall down to the ground. With revenge in her eyes, she approaches the monster. She looks to Ruby, then back to the others. "Goodbye, Mike." She cries.

"Eleven, don't." Ruby sobs. "No more." Eleven mutters, reaching out her hand. The Demogorgon lets out an ear piercing scream.

With eleven's scream, Ruby collapses to the ground, nearly losing consciousness. Eleven begins destroying the beast. With a flickering of the light, both her and the monster have disappeared.

They all look up, finding nothing. "El? El?" Mike shouts. "El!" He screams. "She's gone." Ruby cries weakly. "Eleven!" Lucas calls.

"El! El, where are you?! Eleven! El?" Mike cries. "Ruby." Dustin quickly says, running to the weak girl and helping her up. "Come on, you're okay." He whispers.

Back in the upside down..

Joyce and Hopper manage to get will on the ground. "Oh, god. He's not breathing, he's not breathing." Joyce sobs. "All right, Joyce, Joyce, listen to me, listen to me, listen to me. I need you to tilt his head back..." Hopper instructs.

"Okay." She nods, doing so. ".. and lift his chin." He adds. "Now when I tell you, you're gonna pinch his nostrils, and breathe into his mouth..." he continues.

"Twice. One second, then pause. 22, 23. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28..." Hopper counts. "29, 30. Now! Go!" He shouts. She pinches his nostrils and breathes into his mouth twice.

Will doesn't react. "Oh, come on, come on." Joyce cries. "Come on, kid." Hopper pleads. "Will. Will, listen to me. It's me, it's your mom and I love you so much. I love you so much." She cries

"I love you more than anything in the world. Please... I love you so much. I love you more than anything in the world..." she repeats. "Please, please come back to me. Just.."

"Come on, kid!" Hopper shouts. "Please, please wake up. Please, please. Breathe, Will, come on!" She continues worriedly.

"Come back to me, breathe. I need you to wake up. I need you to breathe. Please breathe! Please!"

With one last stomach pound, Will gasps, then coughs. "Ruby! Ruby, are you there?" He screams. "Oh, my god." Joyce cries in joy. Will continues to cough as they place a mask on him, allowing him to breathe.

"Ruby.." He whispers.

Back in Hawkins

Dustin and Ruby talk to a medical employee, that takes the weak girl. "Is this a tattoo?" The woman asks. "It's temporary." Dustin lies. "Where are her parents?"

"She doesn't have any.." He sighs. "Can I ride with her?" He asks. "I'm afraid that won't be possible. I just need her name."
"Ruby." He states. "Last name?"

"I'm not sure." He sighs. "All right, thank you." Ruby looks up at Dustin as they lie her down on the gurney. "Where am I going?" She asks.

"The hospital. I promise I'll come see you, Ruby. We all will." He says with a smile.

"No.."
