but why does the glimmering flare in your eyes set me ablaze?
a feverish, fiery intensity
like hell
my seething inferno,

melting the ice - my heart.
trapping me where i can no longer glimpse the glow of
the stars.
how do you leave a mark

when you are
so cold
so apathetic
towards the pain you inflict with your smile?

my love:
you sold without reluctance
your flames:
they scald my pride

but i want to burn with you.
it keeps me so warm,
sightless,
foolish.

slow suicide;
my heart flutters with every faint touch.
in the dark,
in the night,

with your fire
and your ice
imprisoning me;
tearing me apart

piece by piece,
but,
i can not leave
for my home

is with you.
