"who's the guy?" she asks bluntly which causes Gracie to choke on the air
"what guy?" she says, going bright red
"you know the guy who gave you all those hickeys and bruises?" she said
Gracie quickly runs to the mirror and looks herself over before turning to Stassie and laughing
"It was quite funny seeing you lie though" Stassie giggled
Gracie sighs before laughing, going slightly red at the sheer idea of Stassie catching her
"oh my gosh, is it Zion because sis that motherfuck-" Stassie begins but Gracie cuts her off
"it's brandon" she said which causes Stassie to scream no and run over to Gracie hitting her
"What are you doing Gracie? that's Zion's best friend oh my gosh" she exclaims
"ouch I know but nothing really happened I promise!" Gracie exclaims, shielding her face from Stassie's hands
"that's only because I came home" she says bluntly which causes Gracie to go quiet
"where is he? Brandon! hello" Stassie says going upstairs looking in each room for him
A bright red Brandon timidly walks out of the bathroom to face Stassie
"And you...what is wrong with you?" she asks pointing a finger at hime
"your BEST FRIEND is interested in her and you come here to comfort her after you put Zion in that situation in the first place. where is your sense of loyalty towards your friend?" she ranted which causes Brandon to lower his head in shame
"I get that Gracie is a beautiful girl but how many girls are in a LA? why make things complicated for yourself by liking the girl Zion is into?" she continued before taking a deep breath in
"But I never made him sleep with his ex did I?" Brandon asks
"you're right but couldn't you have just decided to go somewhere else for food? why did it have to be where his ex works?" she asks again. her hands crossed and eyes squinted
"It was my fault, I initiated the kiss between Brandon and I" Gracie says
"you know what? you two are grown and can ultimately make decisions for yourselves. I'm just asking for you guys to be mindful of others in the situation and the effect of you two fooling around would be" Stassie sighs
"Gracie don't stoop to Zion's level. two wrongs never make a right baby girl" Stassie says sympathetically before turning around and walking to her room
An awkward silence befalls Gracie and Brandon before Brandon breaks the silence
"What have I been doing oh my gosh" he mutters to himself
Stassie's words seemingly hit him and caused him to realise that this wasn't something that a guy does to his friend
"Look Brandon it's my fault it really is" Gracie begins but Brandon stops her
"no, it's mine. I'm really sorry Gracie I really am" he sighs and Gracie embraces him in a hug
"how about we start fresh? put all of this behind us" she suggests hopefully which causes him to chuckle lightly
"of course, it's all water under the bridge" he says which causes her to smile
"come on let me walk you out" she suggests and he nods
She opens the door for him and out he goes
As he was walking down her lawn, he sees someone, someone he knows all too well
"Zion?"
