Chapter 6

After Mitsuko fell asleep, Matsuri decided to do her duties and left her alone in the room. She sighed deeply and couldn't fully concentrate on her training
"Matsuri!" Her father shouted. Matsuri snapped out of her thoughts and wrapped her wings around herself as she got kicked by one of the other vampires. She shook her head and ran up to her opponent as she hissed at him
My mind is always on that girl...
He ducked but received a direct hit on the nose by one of Matsuri's kicks. Matsuri's claws came out and clawed his face then pinned him down
Is it just me or...is it taking a bit longer to defeat these assholes?
"Raaaaah!" The other vampire shouted and Matsuri blocked his attack before kicking his dick then kicked him across the face
I'm not...focused...
"Get her!" The other two vampires said as they used their speed to reach up to her. Matsuri's purple eyes glowed and used her wings to block one of their attacks and attack the other vampire from behind
"Wh-what?! When did yo-agh!" Matsuri punched him hard across the face before kicking his stomach. She grabbed his body and threw it towards the other vampire
Am I seriously cursed or what? I don't feel...like myself today
"Training over!" Taruto said as he ordered the others to leave. Matsuri sighed and walked out the door leaving the training arena
"Matsuri?" Taruto asked
"U-uhm yes?" Matsuri asked as she smiled nervously
"What the hell was that?" Taruto asked
"What do you mean what was that?" Matsuri asked
"Don't play around with me, Matsuri. What the hell was that in the fight? I thought you told me you were ready and able to beat their asses" Taruto said
"I-I still did!" Matsuri said
"Yes but it took you a while to defeat those bastards" Taruto said as he growled
"Sorry sir. It won't happen again. I guess I just got distracted or something" Matsuri said as she bowed down in front of him
"Don't let it happen again. Next time I'll be bringing tougher opponents and see if you're actually tough and strong like you said" Taruto said as he walked away Matsuri only looked down as she sighed
Fuck...what happened to me back there? It's not because of the girl right? No...stop thinking about that stupid myth story
"Hey Matsuri" Nitski said as she hung upside down and smiled at her
"What the hell do you want?" Matsuri asked and walked away
"Damn after everything I've done for you. This is how you treat me?" Nitski asked and landed on the ground
"What now?" Matsuri asked as she turned to look at her
"Well I saw you fight those bastards back there but it seems you were a bit distracted" Nitski said
"Wh-what? You saw too?" Matsuri asked as she trembled a bit
Please don't mention that stupid myth...
"Yep. You okay though?" Nitski asked slightly concerned
"Y-yeah I'm fine. Don't worry about me" Matsuri said as she walked away
"Hehehe" Nitski giggled and went up to her
"There is no need to lie, Matsuri" Nitski said and wrapped an arm around her neck
"Wh-what?" Matsuri asked
"I know what you were thinking about the entire time" Nitski said as she grinned
"No" Matsuri said
"Yes. Your mind began to wonder somewhere else and that's because of her" Nitski said
"Will you not bring that up? It's not because of that alright? It's just...I think I must've not been getting enough sleep or something like that" Matsuri said
And I know what she's going to say next...
"Excuses, excuses, and more excuses" Matsuri and Nitski said in unison
"Wow. You knew I was going to say that?" Nitski asked
"Of course..." Matsuri said
"So you do admit you're making excuses right?" Nitski asked
"What?! No! I am not making excuses. You're the one talking about that shitty myth and I know you will never stop bothering me about it" Matsuri said
"Haha okay let's talk about something different other than that. So Ari found out the location" Nitski said
"Huh? Location?" Matsuri asked
"Yes. She found out where that girl lives. Isn't that great?" Nitski asked as she looked at her
Now let's do a small little test and see if the myth is true or not
"You're joking" Matsuri said
Have they actually found out where she lives? No way...in one day
"No. She actually did some research and found out that the Taniguchi kingdom are way up in the North. Though it would be difficult since we have to pass through all the villagers but if we blend in with the crowd then no one would know. Isn't that a great idea?" Nitski asked. Matsuri stayed silent thinking about it before sighing
I don't want her to go now...I feel some sort of connection between us. It's so hard to explain but...I just want her with me for a little while longer
"You win..." Matsuri said as she looked down
"Hm? What was that?" Nitski asked
"I said you win" Matsuri said
"What?" Nitski asked
"Grrr! I admit it! I like her!" Matsuri said as she grabbed Nitski and shook her
"Okay okay okay! Stop shaking me damnit!" Nitski exclaimed. Matsuri released her and sighed
"What am I going to do, Nitski? I have this urge to not let her go...and I barely know her!" Matsuri said
"Keep your voice down idiot. Someone may hear" Nitski said
"There is no way I can like her right? M-maybe these are just mixed feelings right? Argh! I don't know what I should think? Ever since I met her and took her in, my heart just won't stop beating" Matsuri said
"Your heart always beats dumbass" Nitski said
"Yes but the way my heart beats for her is...a little odd. It skips a beat and it beats so fucking loud that anyone in an empty room could hear" Matsuri said
"You are seriously crazy for her" Nitski said
So it seems she is cursed. Has she thought of drinking her blood? She was bleeding when she found her right? Did she gave it a little taste? I hope not...the situation would only get worse if that'd happen
"You have to help me. I can't get my mind off her. It's just so damn hard..." Matsuri said as she buried her face on her chest and groaned
"There there you idiot. I'll help you with this okay?" Nitski said as she held her and patted her head softly
"So my daughter is a girl lover?" A woman asked
"Waaaaah!" Matsuri exclaimed as she realized it was her mother and jumped on Nitski
"Hello Auntie" Nitski said
Fuck...she heard didn't she? Stupid Matsuri...always being so god damn loud
"Matsuri, what is going on?" Jinah asked
"W-well...you see mom...I uh...was kinda busy dealing with things. So uh..." Matsuri paused and looked at Nitski for help

Nitski only rolled her eyes and dropped Matsuri since she was carrying her
"Matsuri over here is just a little confused about her feelings. That's all..." Nitski said
How the hell am I suppose to help this bitch? She probably heard everything...
"Confused feelings for a girl? Since when did you like girls?" Jinah asked
"Uhm...dunno?" Matsuri asked
What should I do know? Just say that I like girls?
"Is that why you've been acting strange during your training practice?" Jinah asked
"Uhm...probably?" Matsuri said unsure
"It's a yes or no question" Jinah said
"Yes I think" Matsuri said
"Does your father know about this?" Jinah asked
"No" Matsuri said
"Fine. We'll talk about this some other time okay? Mind if I ask who is this girl you like?" Jinah asked
"U-uhm...that's a se-"
"Ari Manila" Nitski said
Hehe...I like to fuck things up
"E-eh?!" Matsuri exclaimed as her face redden
"Oh that friend of yours? I see. Okay have a nice day" Jinah said and left
Oh my...Matsuri turned gay? For her best friend? Hmm? Well they have been hanging out when Matsuri was a kid...
After Jinah left, Matsuri grabbed onto Nitski
"Nitski, what the fuck was that?!" Matsuri exclaimed
"I was only helping you. I mean there is nothing wrong with pretending you like Ari right?" Nitski asked
"Damnit...well I guess this will make it easier" Matsuri said
"Maybe we should find Ari and talk to her about this" Nitski said
"Actually I need to talk to her about Mitsuko's home. We have to help her and get her home" Matsuri said. Nitski only looked at her and nodded
She is definitely cursed...I just hope there is a cure for that stupid curse

Ari sighed deeply and kept looking at the books. She was in her room while reading about the history between vampires and humans
I wonder if the myth is in here somewhere. It has to be written in here right? If there are others who know about the myth then it definitely has to be in here.
A knock was heard on her door and she stood up walking towards the door
"Ari, who is it?" Her mother asked
"Don't know moth-M-matsuri?" Ari asked as the door opened
"Hey Ari" Matsuri said as she smiled
"Princess Matsuri?! Oh what a surprise to see you here" The woman said
"M-mom" Ari said
"Please come inside" Ari's mother said as she smiled
"Thank you ma'am. Oh and I hope you don't mind if I brought my cousin along" Matsuri said as she smiled and stepped inside
"Hi ma'am" Nitski said
"Hello Mizusawa-san" Ari's mother said
"Anyways we just came by to talk with Ari for a moment alone" Matsuri said
"Oh go ahead. I don't mind at all" Ari's mother said
"Hurry Ari" Matsuri whispered as she grabbed her arm
"W-wait!" Ari said and got dragged in her room. Nitski went inside and closed the door
"Hey what the hell is wrong with you? Did something happen?" Ari asked
"I'm just...well we came to talk about Mitsuko's home" Matsuri said softly as she looked down
"Well I'm not really sure if it's the actual location but the books say they are in the North. It'll be difficult since we have to pass through some villagers" Ari said
"So...she can go home?" Matsuri asked with a slight sad tone
"Yes she...wait...is something wrong?" Ari asked. Matsuri groaned as she covered her face
"Nitski what the hell is wrong with her?" Ari asked
"What do you think? This bitch is cursed" Nitski said
"Wait...you mean the Vampire's Obsession myth? So it's true?" Ari asked
"Matsuri just admitted into having feelings for her...they kissed" Nitski said and laughed. Matsuri's face redden as she trembled
...I still remember that kiss...it felt nice even though it was short. We kissed twice...
"M-matsuri? You like...that girl?" Ari asked
"I-I guess I do...it's just...argh it's really hard to explain. My heart...just skips a beat each time I look at her. I have no idea...what's gotten into me" Matsuri said
"Is there a way to get rid of the curse?" Ari asked
"I'm not so sure. I mean...it happened thousands of years ago so I don't know" Nitski said
"Does this curse affect the human too?" Matsuri asked
"Hm? You mean the kid? Well...I don't know about that. Maybe the curse does affect the human. In their world, there are a few stories about our kind" Nitski said
"Maybe we need to take her home quickly. Getting separated from her might help you with the curse. You can get rid of it" Ari said. Matsuri's heart ached at the thought of separating herself from the girl
Why does it hurt...? Am I really this crazy for a human girl? Someone I barely know...and I'm already having these thoughts
"No..." Matsuri said
"What do you mean no?" Ari asked
"I-I don't want her to go...not yet...just let her stay a little longer" Matsuri said
"How long do you plan on keeping her?" Ari asked
"I want to keep her...for just a week" Matsuri said
"Matsuri...you are insane for keeping a human girl here" Nitski said
"What if she gets caught?" Ari asked
"I'll deal with all that. I only want to hold her for a while longer...before letting her go and getting her home. It hurts...inside..." Matsuri said as she clenched her fists tightly and trembled
"Y-you can't be serious about this...do you really care so much for that girl? Someone you just met?" Ari asked
"You just wouldn't understand how I feel Ari. Mitsuko...makes me feel...this strange emotion I've never felt before and I don't...want to lose her. So please...let me...stay with her a little while longer" Matsuri said as tears built up in her eyes
