TheRedRoom

Harlow fixes her hair again seeing the bruise on her face finally fading out.

It had been over a week since she last saw Jared.

She shakes her head grabbing her phone as she heads out of the bathroom of the club.

The music was loud like normal.

Her body moved with the crowd as she squeezed in to grab a drink.

The older bartender looks down at her, "What do you want tonight darling?"

"Something sweet." She grins back pushing a hundred over to him.

The bartender glances down then nods grabbing a glass for her.

Harlow turns around looking over the crowd.

She checks her phone again. Nothing.

"Fucking Brooklyn." She snorts turning back to take her drink.

The bartender nods back as she pops the little white tablet that was under the glass.

She shakes her head again hoping to feel it soon.

The lights start to pick up then spin sending blues and reds all over as other lights make it look like it's snowing.

Harlow sips on her drink as a side private booth comes to life.

The hostess moves to the side allowing Harlow to see his thick dark beard.

Her chest goes out a little taking a deep breathe.

His eyes slowly trail up to hers.

I push my phone back and forth on the coffee table with the news on in the background.

I close my eyes looking up at the ceiling when a door slamming sits me up.

There is some muffled yelling as I move slowly to the door reaching for my side.

"You are a fucking idiot!"

I flinch a little grabbing my side.

I scramble back as there is a crash outside my door.

"I HOPE THEY KILL YOU NEXT!"

I cover my face watching the door as I crawl to the door tossing it open.

The hallway is empty as my eyes search hard for them.

"Fuck." I mumble when I hear the roof door slam shut.

I take off running after the roof door.

Harlow taps her fingers on the railing watching his booth.

Another dancer walks in as another leaves with a grin on her lips.

Harlow finally looks away grabbing another drink.

"Anything else?" The bartender asks her.

"Just keep those coming." Harlow snorts back.

The bartender nods moving to another person at the bar.

Harlow swirls her finger in the blue liquid as the lights go over her body making it snow.

She looks away as the lights go into her eyes.

Harlow goes right back to his booth noticing something.

Her eyes go wide as her heart stops.
