Chapter 1

Set Fire To The Rain

"Holy shit, Mom. I gotta go.." Arabella says to Mom.

"But it's family time. No, you can't go." She says.

"But Mom, it's Allen. He and Allison's parents got into a car accident!"As Aiden comes into the living room, I mute the tv.

"Allison, are they OK? Hold on a sec."He puts his hand over the phone as I come give him a hug.

"Whats wrong little bro?"I asked him. He shakes his head and goes back to talking. I hear Allison on the other line crying. Aiden walks into the kitchen with Mom and Bella.

"No." My Mother stands her ground. Nice skills. It's hard for her to resist Bella. Then another thought pops up. Mom lets them curse, but gets angry when I do.

"MOTHER, HE'S MY MATE!!!"Bella screams.

"Oh..."Holy shit. Nows my chance to ask before I forget. I take a step forward but stop, when I hear Aiden talk.

"Allison... Yeah don't worry... I'll be there... Love you too." He says. "Mom we gotta go."

"Whats going on here?"She asks.

"They are in a car accident, Mom... Allison, she's breaking down... She's crying and we're going whether you like it or not. So just support us."Wow, I've never heard Aiden talk like that to Mother.

"OK."She sighs. Now's my turn. I step in as they race out the door. Andrew, HERE I COME!

"Mom... Can I go to a party?"I ask.

"What?No?"Hypocrite. How is it she let them go and not me?

"But there's gonna be parents there."I whine lying.

"OK..."She agrees. I read her thoughts as I walk out.

'I know I should've never let her go.

But she needs a little freedom...'I jump in my black car.

We drank the beers in sync. Then we stared at each other. We raised the same eyebrow. Then we both raised a hand, it was like a mirror. We laughed at each other before drinking again. My friends, Cleo, Lily, Maria, and Deena walk up. Alex and I grin up at them. They're all wasted. Besides Lily, she's the 'responsible' one.

"Hey, guys."I give them a warm smile as I speak.

"They're about to play our song. We have to do the dance. Come on guys."Maria grabs Alex and my hand as she speaks. She helps us up and we rush to the center of the circle. We get into position.

Lily and I face off, Maria and Deena face off, Alex and Cleo, and Renee and Nessa also face off.

The music starts.

"Won't someone tell me what is happening to me? Why am I so misunderstood, why can't they see?"We walk past each other to the other side.

"They say you'll understand it all in good time, but age ain't nothing but a number in my mind." Lily grabs my elbows and I grab hers.

"Going crazy with this push me, pull me. Come between, wrong and right."

We place our head on the opposite sides. We push each other away then pull each other back together, nearly hugging. My head is in the nook of her neck, and hers is in the nook of mine.

I look up and see Andrew in the crowds. He's concentrating on watching me, I broke his concentration. He smiles at me as we continue to dance.

I nod at Lily. She gives two thumbs up. Coast Is Clear. I turn towards Andrew and entwined our fingers. We smile.

"You liked my dance?"I asked.He laughs. I let go of him and we sit down, by each other. All this time, I was cursing finding my mate. Now I realize what i've been missing. He is actually amazi-

"Loved it."He smirks. I smile wider. Then laugh. I look up at the stars.

"It's beautiful out here. Isn't it?"I ask turning to look at him. He looks up. Then looks down at me in awe. He's 5'7. I'm 5'3. Even sitting down he's taller than me.

"It is."I nod.

"So, do you want to go for a swim? Somewhere more quieter?" I ask standing up. I dust the sand off then put out a hand for him to take. I'm finally taller than him... He looked around then took my hand. He stood up and once again I felt short. Spoke-Thought to soon.

"Sure. Why not?"He asked.

I shrug and pull us to the ocean. We walk until the water I over his head. He grasps my hand as I fall on my mermaid tail. I grin getting back up. I tried water and look at him, he's ready. I hug him and we swim to my island. Well my friends and my island.

I stop swimming once I see the fish. I show him around. He points up and we go up for air. As he pants, I smile. We go back underwater and this time make it all the way back to the girls and my island. Islandia Biblia. Supernatural Island.

We found it. We own it. Ever heard the term, 'Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers.'? Yeah we gave that thing a whole new meaning. We climb out of the water and I lead him towards the cabin we built. The one for when we found our mates. There is another cabin for all of us.

We walk into the black cabin. Inside everything is black as well. But it's decorated nicely. There's a black heart bed in the middle. We lay down next to each other and just talk.

He asks my favourite colour, blue and black, my hopes and dreams, it's actually to be a mom and a preschool teacher. He has two sisters and he only has his mom. His dad is dead.

His preteen sister name is Augusta and the toddler is Morgan. His mother's name is Gwen. His favourite colour is purple, he hopes to be a doctor, beside being the alpha.

I show him my black grand piano and play him the song, Set Fire to the Rain. At the end he claps and I bow.

"How about your family? I haven't heard you talk about them." I sigh. Here goes.

"When I was younger, I knew this boy named Kaden. We were really young, 7, but you know how supernatural mentality goes. I really loved him, and just when everything was going good, he broke my heart."I said completely serious.

"My family never understood why I'd changed. Of course I'd always been moody, but he changed me. My parents, Rebecca and Jordan, never understood why I'd changed. My younger twin sister name is Arabella. And finally there's the one I love the most my baby brother, Aiden." I stated.

He grew mad, so I kissed him. I know, terrible reason. But it calmed him down, it actually did more than it should have, and things got too far...
