Hello and welcome to the next chapter hope you're well, and hope you have a great valentines day 2020, I'm spending my valentines day with my family - my children and my lovely husband- who are you spending yours with? Let me know in the comments below.

Standing outside the hotel, let's give you a tour, you open the huge double doors and find yourself in the foyer, there is seating right in the middle, with a glass table that has newspapers and magazines, on your right are toilets, for public use, walk in past the seating area, on your left is a door that leads to a bar, yes the original bar, the bar around which this hotel was built, the bar is open to residents only, next to the bar is a door that leads to a flight of stairs, to the various floors, opposite the bar, on your right is the restaurant, the restaurant will provide for your every need, it is open to the public. Next to the restaurant is the lift that will take you to all the floors, we have ten floors.
Then past that is the reception desk, behind the desk is me ready to welcome you behind me is the office, my bedroom.

I was behind the desk reading a book 'Anastasia' written by a witch (A.N written by me, now available to read, if you want to check it out 😉) a man walked in, as he came closer I realised he was a vampire.

"Welcome to the Oddfellows hotel, I'm Clarrissa, the manager, and owner of this hotel, a single room will cost you fifteen pound a night, there is an upfront payment, which you will get back if the room isn't to your standard, free Netflix,  brittbox, and BBCiplayer is available in every room, there is a bar over there, we have humans in there to provide fresh blood" I finished talking, the man smiled showing off his dimples

"I'm Michael List" he shook my hand "Say why is the room so cheap? What's wrong with it?" He squinted a little, this wasn't the first time someone had asked this question, truth was, most people that came here didn't have jobs, they're supernatural for pete sakes they didn't have much money, if the rooms cost more no one would come to stay here.

"There is nothing wrong with the room sir, I assure you" I told him with a smile of my own, he returned the smile with a look of defeat, "so what kind of room would you like?"

"A single is fine" he assured, I nodded, I looked at the keys behind me, there were many single rooms available

"And would you like a room with a view?" That'll be ten pound extra" I told him

"Nah, I don't need a view, a normal room is fine, I won't be staying in much, I'll only need the room for sleeping" he winked, I looked at the keys again

"Ok room 23, second floor" I handed him his key, "would you like someone to show you up? Michael only had one bag, so I knew he needed no help on that front

"Nah it's fine, I'll find it" he walked towards the lift with a swag, I just smiled and shook my head and went back to reading.

The door opened again,

"Welcome to odd....." as I looked up I saw regular customers Damon and Stefan Salvatore, brothers from a small town in America,  Stefan and I dated a while back, but he cheated on me, have you ever wondered if a hundred years is enough to forgive somebody? The answer is no, it's not enough, I still hate him. Damon is a player, but he's fine, if I had the courage to tell him how I felt about him things would be different,  but he'll probably turn me down anyway. Or he'll cheat on me, or we'll break up, either way it can't last. They made it to the desk "hello you two, usual rooms?" I asked as I turned to get the keys they nodded their heads and I gave them keys thirty five and thirty six, two rooms opposite one another, these are the room they always have, Damon took out his  credit card to pay the deposit,  and Stefan took out cash, each paid. As I rung Damon's card he started talking and Stefan left after signing the book, Damon watched his brother go towards the stairs

"When will you forgive him? He hates this, he hates that his best friend won't talk to him"

"I dont need this right now Damon" I handed him his card back, stating that this conversation was over, he sighed, took the card, picked up a black duffel bag, held it over his shoulder and proceeded towards the stairs. I went and booked them both into the computer then went back to reading.

Two days later

A man walked towards the desk, he had shoulder length brown hair, he wore a suit, he looked posh, and as he got closer I realised he was human, we did get some human residents everyone was just careful

"Welcome to Odd...." I stopped talking because the man put up his hand to sush me

"I'm looking for someone" he spoke in, time for me to interrupt, I think

"Well you've come to the wrong place, we're not that type of hotel" I smirked, one hand on hip the other on the desk, he shook his head scratching the barely there stubble, he took out an ID from his pocket

"That's good to hear" he said holding up the ID, it wiped the smile off my face, I stood up straight, D.I Wright stood before me, he dug in his suit pocket again, "I'm looking for him, you seen him?" I looked at the smiling photo of resident Micheal  List, (photo above)

"Yeah, that's Michael, he lives here" I told him, no sarcasm the cop nodded "what's he done?" I asked curiously

"I'm not at liberty to share that Miss" ooh what century had he crawled here from? "Now tell me, what room is Mr List in?" Ha ha good question

"Well I'm sorry officer, I'm not at liberty to say" he looked at me questioningly "he's not here right now so ...."

"Withholding information from a police officer could get you jail time " he threatened

"Well, unless you have a warrant, you're not going up there, yeah I know the law, detective" I challenged moving closer to him, over the desk,

"When will he be back?" He gave up

"I don't know,  I'm not his secretary" I moved back too

"Fine I'll just wait over here" he stated pointing to the little seated area, I nodded, I felt a little nervous,  I wanted to know what Michael had done, is he a criminal? Are the rest of the residents safe?
