"Eh-ehh (Y/n)-chan, what are you doing!"

She yelled out, "I thought you DIED!"

She sent the punch straight towards the man's stomach as he coughed up more water. She then drew the knife Dazai had mentioned he'd kept hidden in his pocket and held it above her head. Some of the officers believed she was going to stab him, but Ranpo said, "Relax, I was joking. She's only going to cut him free."

And she did just that.

She cut his legs free and he landed on his head with a thud. Dazai rolled onto his butt and sat cross-legged while rubbing his stomach and saying, "You're quite the fighter— ACK!"

She sent a hard kick to his side before he could block it as he complained once more, "What did I do!?"

She walked to his form and picked him up by his collar and shook him viscously while saying, "You jumped off the bridge you asshole!!! Did you really think doing that in front of someone who's your friend wouldn't scare the shit out of them!? HUH!?  I THOUGHT YOU HAD FUCKING DIED AND I JUST WATCHED IT HAPPENED WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING!  DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE THINKING SOMEONE JUST KILLED THEMSELF IN FRONT OF YOU?!"

She had begun crying again without knowing it as her frustration was let out on the man.  The bandaged, and now bruised,  brunette detective brought a hand to lazily wipe away one of her tears before he frowned and said, "Oh, that's why you were crying?  For little ol' me?"

She released his collar and began to walk away from the scene before flicking the brunette off and saying, "'Oh'-- That's all you say!  Screw you! Don't you understand that most people would be worried about you if you jumped off a bridge?!"

She'd tucked her hands into her pockets before storming off towards Atsushi and Ranpo and saying, "Atsushi, what are you two doing here?"

Her voice startled the boy and he collected himself before saying, "The detective--"

Atsushi paused and pointed towards the detective she had grabbed earlier.

"--doesn't think the department needs to consult with us for this case.  He says there is no evidence and no crime scene since the lady was found in the river.  But Ranpo...  he's not being any help..."

(Y/n) stood beside Atsushi as she listened to Ranpo badger the poor detective, attempting to get his way to get on the case. "I bet I can solve this

"We don't need private eyes on this case.  Everyone one of my officers is superior to all of you lot combined."

Ranpo turned to a younger-looking cop standing off to the side before saying, "You there, what's your name?"

The younger man was startled by the sudden attention before he saluted and stuttered out, "I am Sergeant Sugin=moto sir, the victim, Mrs. Amagiwa was my superior officer, sir!"

Ranpo smirked at the young man before saying, "Alright then, if you're better than me, solve this case in the next 60 seconds, ready?  And, Go!"

The Sergeant began to panic and Atsushi mumbled out, "Is that how I look when I am stressed?"

(Y/n) chuckled beside the boy before saying, "No, you look much worse."

Her joking brought a small smile to the boy's lips before he said, "I don't get it though.  Why is Ranpo being so adamant about joining this case?"

(Y/n) smiled at the boy before she said, "Just keep watching, Ranpo has a rather wonderful-- ability."

The young Sergeant finally gather enough of a thought to blurt out, "Well, Mrs. Amigawa was working on a Mafia case and a corrupt politician case!  The MO is similar to that of the Port Mafia, so it must be--"
