You Don't Know Me So Shut Up And Dance

Start from the beginning

"OH THATS IT!" The goth yells coming at me. By now a large crowd had amassed around us especially considering I rarely ever curse.

Jade grabbed some of my hair in one of her hands and placed her other hand on my shoulder while I mimicked the same to her. We began twirling around in circles til we hit the lockers and then upon bouncing back off them we fell to the ground.

Just as I was about to scratch jade and just as jade was getting her hands around my neck, Beck had pulled Jade off and Andre had pulled me off while Lane had come shouting into the hall furiously at us.

"VIOLENCE IS NOT HOW WE SOLVE THINGS HERE!" Lane shouts. "YOU TWO ARE LUCKY WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF FINALS WEEK OR YOU'D BOTH BE SUSPENDED.

Jade and I are both still huffing from the altercation and shooting each other daggers.

"Listen here I don't even wanna HEAR just what is going on, but whatever it is, you two FIGURE  it out SAFELY!" He lectures once more before clearing the crowds out. I shake Andre off of me and strut up to Jade now.

"You, me, sing off, one week from now, asphalt cafe, 9pm," I say before storming off.

Jade's POV
God Vega was so infuriating. A sing off wasn't a bad idea though, come up with a badass song with badass lyrics and badass vocals. I will NOT lose especially not if Vega is as busy as she pretends to be, she won't have the time to make a worthy song to battle whatever I come up.

Don't get me wrong, just cuz it was a sing off doesn't mean we were about to write fucking diss tracks or anything. Like I said it was all about who's song, performance, and lyrics are more badass.

To hell with Vega. I'll make her regret ever challenging me. I'd spend the next week writing. I must have went through 3 or 4 songs before I finally wrote something I knew would win. 5th times the charm. It was raw and real and I know performing it would not only help me get out all my frustrations about Vega but it'd also just help me say what I needed to say about Vega in general.

Tori's POV
I hate myself sometimes so much. Making a week the deadline was stupid. I should've said two. Finals week was absolute hell and my parents had just come home which left me with 3 days to make a kick ass song to beat Jade.

I was so physically and mentally exhausted dealing with Trina for the week I was almost afraid of how this challenge was gonna go. After all, if I couldn't make a good song and end up being too tired to give a good performance, then I might as well forfeit now.

The thought of Jade's smug smile as she wins infuriates me and suddenly I feel charged back up and ready to go. I start writing swiftly as ideas pour into my head. I. Refuse. To lose.

Jade's POV
Here we were, asphalt cafe, 9pm, a crowd of kids from school had shown up to see the showdown between Vega and I. I couldn't help but give an arrogant smile towards Vega knowing I was about to destroy her. There were four secret judges in the crowd right now but we weren't told who so neither of us could try and convince them to vote for us.

Vega had a dangerous smile playing on her lips as if she actually had something that was gonna stand a chance.

"Vega."

"West," she responds.

"I'd say may the best man win, but frankly you won't stand a chance."

"You got it backwards Jade."

"Guess we'll see won't we?" I smirk.

"Guess so," she responds bitterly before we go to our separate sides of the cafe.

"Alright let's hit it!" I yell at the band signaling to get my song started before I hopped up on one of the lunch tables. "This one's for you Vega," I say shooting her daggers that she returns as she waits her turn.

As I finish performing I can see Vega's once cold death glare now her usual soft puppy look. I hop off the table and stalk up to face Vega face to face.

"You're so getting it as soon as this is over," she says.

"Getting what?" I say raising an eyebrow. She doesn't answer but walks back to her side of the cafe and is standing on one of the lunch tables now to perform.

"And THIS ONE is for you Jade, inspired by prome night I believe it was you who told me to shut up and dance?" She says giving me a small smirk as the music starts up.

Tori's POV
Just as I finish up performing I see jade start rushing off somewhere so I spoke into the mic saying we would take 5 for the judges to decide then run off to go find her.

I went to where I assumed she'd be which was the janitor's closet and I was right. However as soon as I opened the door a rough hand gripped my wrist and yanked me inside.

"Were you followed?" I hear Jade ask quickly as she shuts the door.

"Uhhh no why?" I ask but the response I get was not the one I was expecting. I suddenly found myself shoved back into the wall and Jade's lips had come crashing down onto mine. My eyes went wide with shock and I was temporarily paralyzed until I couldn't help but start to respond.

I moved my lips harshly against her smooth minty ones trying not to fight back how dizzy I was getting from it all before Jade finally pulled back resting her forehead against mine.

"Sorry but I couldn't take it any longer you were just asking for it with that song and performance," she growls into my ear sending a chill down my spine.

"B-j-wh-" I couldn't form any words trying to figure out what the hell to say.

"Spit it out Vega."

"Why did you do that?" I finally ask.

"Because I was hoping you'd do it back," she whispers seductively into my ear making my heart stop. I gently push her back away.

"I mean WHY," I repeat asking for a serious answer.

"I don't know," she answers honestly. "I've never fancied girls before if that's what you're wondering. All I know is that everything with you is different Tori. Every time I'm with you I feel whole and every second I'm without you I'm an angry sack of potatoes. All I know is that I feel differently about you than I've felt about anyone else and all I want to do every second I'm with you is kiss you."

"Do you really mean it?" I ask shocked.

"Why else would I write that song or let someone ridicule me this much in public," she deadpans. "What do YOU feel," she asks, eyebrow raised now. I stand there and shift about uncomfortably until I decide to finally just go for it and cup the goth's face in my hands to pull it in for a kiss.

"I think I wouldn't want to spend another second with anyone else," I breathe out after pulling back.

"Of course not everyone else is too lame," she responds before kissing me back slowly biting my lower lip making me let out a small moan. "Well, I guess you're kind of the lamest person I know though."

"Hey!" I say smacking her arm.

"Kidding," she says giving a peck to my nose. "Not really though," she mumbles before swiftly exiting the closet not giving me a chance to hit her.

What a week.
