Quinn and Beth ended up heading back to New York the next day. Noah was staying in Lima to spend a few days with his family, and to give Quinn a chance to get her mom to see that everything was good.

When Quinn and Beth returned to their apartment, Judy was there.

"Gramma!" Beth exclaimed as she ran to hug her grandmother.

"Hi, Beth." Judy smiled as she picked up the blonde and put her on her hip while she looked at her lip.

"Mom?" Quinn raised her eyebrow as she put the bags down. "What are you doing here?"

"I told you I was coming." Judy reminded Quinn. "Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas!" Beth exclaimed.

"Your lip doesn't look too bad." Judy said.

"Mommy's boyfriend said it makes me look tough." Beth stated.

Judy made a face and nodded.

"It looks much better now. They'll dissolve and fall out on their own." Quinn added. "Most of them did already."

"Gramma, where did you go for Christmas?" Beth wondered.

"I was in Chicago visiting your Aunt Frannie and your new cousins-"

"Mom." Quinn cut Judy off.

"Quinny, she can know who her family is." Judy stated.

"Frannie made it very clear that we're not family." Quinn responded.

"Well, Frannie said-"

"I don't wanna have this conversation in front of Beth." Quinn interrupted Judy. "And I don't wanna fight with you. We just got home."

Judy looked at Quinn as Beth squirmed out of her arms.

"Beth and I are gonna unpack and put our things away, but when we're done, I'd like it if the three of us went out to dinner together." Quinn told Judy.

"You really need to learn how to cook, honey." Judy said.

Quinn raised her eyebrow.

"Going out to dinner sounds great." Judy corrected herself.

Quinn faked a smile as she excused herself before going to her room with Beth to unpack.
