The warm blue light began to emit from where her hand was touching the boy's forehead and he began to still.  She'd often used this ability on the twins at the orphanage who'd have nightmares about their abusive parents.  It won't heal anyone, but it could help stop a nightmare by waking them up.

She could feel the eyes of Kunikida staring at her from behind, obviously curious about what she'd done to the boy.  "When someone has nightmares, they generally have enough energy to be encouraged to wake up.  I can't heal anything though, those codes are not exactly easy to write."

The man simply nodded before [Y/n] took her hand off the boy's forehead and said, "He's got a slight fever..."

She took a few steps back from the boy before walking over to a sink in the corner of the room and began to rinse out a small hand towel she'd seen.  It might not be much, but it can help lower his fever.

While she'd stepped away, Atsushi's eyes suddenly shot open.  His eyes remained wide as he laid still.  The only indicator to the girl that he had in fact awoken was when Kunkida said, "I see you've come to."

"Kunikida...san..."

(Y/n) walked slowly back over to the boy before saying, "And (Y/n) is here too.  How are you feeling?"

Atushi's eyes widened slightly as he saw her face come into view as he softly said, "B-but you didn't... you didn't want anyone to know."

She nodded before saying, "Unfortunately, a certain brunette ruined my chances of even staying anonymous to everyone except Yukichi."

Kunikida stiffened slightly at the usage of the President's first name so nonchalantly by her.  He would be lying if he wasn't curious about the extent of [Y/n] and the President's relationship.

He began to read his notebook once more before he said, "You need to be more careful, Atsushi.  The Agency is in a bit of pinch now, and you're sleeping."

[Y/n] placed the damp towel on the boy's forehead before he thanked her.  She smiled before turning to the man who's, glasses were resting on top of his head now, and scowled.  Her look was screaming to him, please be more thoughtful of your words.

She spoke to the bespectacled man, "He can't help the energy he uses up when he uses his ability.  He didn't mean to pass out..."

Suddenly Atsushi shot up and said, "I-I remember! How is Naomi and Tanizaki!

[Y/n] was about to answer before she was cut off by Kunikida, "Both are fine.  Tanizaki is next door with Dr. Yosano getting treatment right now."

As if on cue, a loud scream echoed through the building and both [Y/n] and Atsushi stiffened.

"Ah... her legendary treatments...  I've heard a lot about her methods from Yukichi..."

The screaming was suddenly died down and a "chu" could be heard through the walls.

Then Kunikida said, "I heard...  that you have a seven billion dollar bounty on your head on the black market."

[Y/n] had heard that from Dazai last insight, but the thought of such an amount on the boy's head still amazed her.  She'd gathered almost no leads as well.  She couldn't find anything on the dark forums that mentioned his bounty, so this bounty was only revealed to the top playing organizations, such as the Port Mafia.

She'd need to dig deeper, possibly even plant remote chips on some mafia members to get her closer to their information servers.  If the bugs got close enough to the servers, they might be able to access them...

Atsushi was in shock at the mention of his bounty as he breathed out,  "What?"

"Seven billion, huh?  No wonder the Port Mafia wants you so bad..."

[Y/n] watched the exchange between the two before Atsushi simply said, "I see..."

He then suddenly panicked and yelled, "T-the Port Mafia!  W-what am I g-going to do!  The mafia might launch a raid on the agency!  A-and [Y/n] is here n-now, and y-you've already d-done so much for me! And—and—"

[Y/n] watched as the boy panicked, so she brought a hand up and set it on his hair and ruffling it slightly. "Relax, Atsushi.  The Mafia isn't as big of a threat as you think."

The boy stilled at her words before looking to Kunikida for  affirmation, who was reading his book still.  "She's correct, though the mafia is violent by nature, keep your cool.  My mentor once told me, losing your cool can kill a man."

That's when Atsushi whispered to [Y/n], "His journal..."  She nodded before saying, "Umm, your journal... is upside down..."

Kunikda slowly flipped his book over and slowly stood to his feet.  He walked over to the pair before suddenly saying, "I have not lost my cool! I'm not going to panic over the Mafia!  I'd beat them back even if they attacked this second!"

He then began to thrust punches into the air while yelling, "I'll beat them to a pulp! Stabbity-stab-stab!"

[Y/n] sweatdropped once more before seeing Atsushi's fist clench the sheets.  He had to have felt that his was all his fault.  This seemingly put-together man now seemed to be falling apart all of a sudden...

Then Kunikida said, "He'll come soon.  You caused this."

[Y/n]'s eyes widened as she heard the man say such weighted words to the young boy.  She was about to smack him on the back of the head, but she was more worried about how his words would affect Atsushi.  And she didn't like what she saw...  Atsushi had stiffened at his words.

"You caused this."

It was three words that carried such a heavy burden, she knew that better than anyone.

Kunikida then began to walk towards the door with his hands in his pockets as if he hadn't just transferred his stress onto the boy.

[Y/n] placed a hand on his head once again, this time ruffling his hair before saying, "Relax, you've got me to help with things now.  I'm pretty awesome, you know?"

Atsushi's worried look seemed to soften at her words.  She was right, he thought to himself.

She was amazing.  That guy, Akutagawa...  He wouldn't have stood a chance against [Y/n].  She had amazing control over her ability, and a quick wit to add to her strengths.

Having her on his side certainly relieved some of Atsushi's stress.  Not to mention she was very nice and calming.

"By the way, you two..."

The pair looked towards Kunikida before he continued, "I've been looking for something.  Have either of you seen my glasses?"

The pair paled before Atsushi lazily pointed towards him and said, "On top of your head..."

And that was the second time (Y/n) and Atsushi saw Kunikida break.

...

It had been around thirty minutes of simple chit-chat between the two orphans before Atushi climbed out of bed and got dressed.

As he changed his clothes behind the cloth divider, (Y/n) found a mirror in the corner of the room and began to tie her hair into a low bun.  No time to style it today.

Once both were finished, they headed out the door and down the stairs into the main office space.  (Y/n) grabbed a stack of files out of a filing cabinet and set it on Atsushi's desk before saying, "Alright kid, find any files on past bounties known to be claimed by the Mafia.  They should be listed under 'Mafia: Claims' or something like that.  Each file has keywords and points listed at the top, so you should be able to sift through these easily by reading these, okay?"

"Yes, Ma'am!"

...

"Just call me [Y/n], I'm not that old."

"Ah, Sorry!"

...

"Stop apologizing, geez."
