• Brooklyn's POV •

     I continued to look out the window as rain began to fall. I felt down, like the rain - when it falls... down.

     " We're almost there! " Nathan announces.

     I'm not looking forward to this. What if they treat me the same as my last pack? Nathan seems nice...

     We turn into a road flanked by tall pine trees, the sky continues to drizzle rain down upon us as we continue along.

     After a little while a large pack house comes into view. A panicked feeling settled in my chest, shivers running along my spine. I know I'm on their territory, and theres no going back.

     Around a dozen wolves of various colours come into view, their hackles raised and teeth bared.

     What a lovely welcome.

     " Don't worry about them " Nathan says, his eyes clouding over.

     He must of mind linked them, as the next minute they were more relaxed, but still gave cautious glances.

     Nathan turned into a space for his car and turned off the engine, opening his door and getting out.

      He came round to my side and held my arm, putting it over his shoulder and helping me to get out.

     We hobbled over to the wolves outside the mansion of a pack house, just then three men came towards us, producing an aura of power.

     The man in the middle had brown hair gelled back neatly and was god knows how tall, a beautiful face but a sneer blemishing it.

     " mate! " he scowled, snatching me away from Nathan.

     I landed on my injured foot and yelped out in pain, being grabbed by the arm roughly and pulled up from where i had fallen.

     Yup, lovely first impression.

             • Nathan's POV •

     " Mate! " Alpha growled, seizing MY mate away from me.

     What?

     I felt it, the mate pull, the tingles.

     ' you did too, right hunter? '

     ' yes ' he replied.

      Maybe this is why Brooklyn didn't react to seeing me, what if she only feels the mate pull towards Alpha?!
