Dream

You're the wish, the hope, the beam

You're the light that wards off harm

A presence of the highest esteem

A beauty of a magnificent charm

Your eyes ignite my world agleam

Your smile renders December warm

Your melody flows in my bloodstream

Your pulse is the rhythm in the storm

My haggard soul I wished to redeem

My sleepless nights I longed to disarm

Yearning for a day of joy supreme

When my past days refused to conform

Eyes closed, I pleaded for a dream

Eyes opened, I revive in alarm

Though I lost your sight in my dream

I arise to find you in my arms
