Khushi's face was still directed to the television and she didn't respond in any way. The only proof that she listened was her small gasp and her hands that were buried inside her lap. Arnav didn't want to stop to tell his story, even he was not comfortable to talk about the past. He promised himself, once he is done he was going to concentrate on their future. There are just few hurdles, but he was sure they could work it out and if not, he would work his whole life to earn Khushi's trust back.

>>The day of our marriage changed my life in the way I never dreamed of. Not even in my deepest dreams did I see what was coming to me. The false Priest didn't came, but instead of him one old very good priest, who wasn't ready to do the fake marriage I wanted him to do. He gave one option and this was to marry you in real. After I talked to him and I knew there was nothing I could do or say to change his mind, I decided to go through the whole procedure and marry the girl I barely knew. Our marriage would be as real, as a marriage only could be. I called Mia to end our relation or whatever this between me and her was. I didn't knew how to act as next, but I knew you would be the one and only woman who will ever call herself my wife. I would stay true to myself and to the promise I gave to me and my mother. You have to believe me that at this time I didn't know how to deal my bond to you, but today I know it was destiny.<<

Arnav paused and took one deep breath. The most of his mistakes were out and it was just a little more to say before his dark past was spoken out and put in front of Khushi's feet. Maybe then she would understand him and won't hate him, he hoped, but what if not? He knew he needed to open up. His uncle told him to face his demons and he was right. He should at least face some of them and he was about to do it, no matter the consequences. >>So, we got married and our marriage war real. I repeat again, because it's important to me, to let you know, that I called Mia to end our relation before our marriage and that I didn't have any contact to her, since the day I saw you for the very first time. I didn't knew how to accept my new life and future, but I knew, you would be the one and only woman who will ever call herself my wife.<<

>>You should also know that after my mother's death, I promised to myself to marry only once and only one woman should have all rights over me. Have rights to call me her husband. Have rights to touch me.<<

Khushi finally removed her eyes from the TV, but instead to look at Arnav she looked to opposite direction. Arnav knew what he said would hurt her, so he tried to say as less as possible. Keep everything as light as possible. She should only knew the most important things. The rest should be buried deep somewhere, where Khushi wouldn't find it ever again.

Arnav didn't want to talk about his sister and her husband. He didn't want to talk about NK and all this messages on her phone. He didn't want to talk about her actions before their marriage. It was unfair to blame her for her life before him. What did he knew about her life, about her reasons and why she did what she did then? His uncle and aunt took care of so many women that have similar lives to Khushi's. Some of them worked on the streets, some of them sold by their own family, some of them threated less than dirt.

In the past three years, Arnav saw underweighted girls, who were forced by their own people to prostitute themselves, to support the family. This all opened his eyes. Before he started to work for his uncle, Arnav thought he knew the world. The high values he put for himself and everyone around, started to crack with the cruelty of the world. It was not only one time that he asked himself, if Khushi was forced from her family to do the same. If this was the case, Arnav knew Khushi was not to blame. The only thing which pricked him was, that he let her down and that he betrayed the values his mother taught him.

He should knew it better then.

>>When we drove to Aman's house,<< the remoter felt down on the floor and Arnav bent down to pick it up. In that moment he saw how Khushi fisted her hands. He put the remoter on the previous place and continued. >>When we drove to the house, I knew you became part of me. Even if I didn't knew what would happen in the future between us, I knew, we were bonded forever.<<
