Chapter 2

Scott's P.O.V.

Me and Braeden walked through the creepy halls of the church and into the room.

"What is that?" I asked, looking at the wall inside the room. It had weird shapes and patterns on it.

"Tescotlepoca. The nual jaguar god." she said, wiping the dust off of the wall. "I think we found Derek."

I put my ear up to it, and sure enough, I heard two heart beats. I backed up and prepared myself.

"Stand back." I told her before punching a hole in the wall. Then, together we ripped the rest of the wall away, leaving a big enough hole to see both bodies inside. Braeden flashed her flashlight inside and we were both shocked at what we found.

Instead of finding Ariana and Derek like we were expecting, we found two teenagers that appeared to be them.

"Oh my god." I said.

Stiles' P.O.V.

We all pulled up to the church just in time to see Scott amd Braeden coming out. Scott was holding a girl in his arms while Braeden was doing her best to steady the boy.

When they got closer I gasped.

"Is that them? Is that Derek and Ariana?" Malia asked.

"Uh, sort of." I said. Derek lifted his head and looked at us confused and scared.

"Wow." Deaton said.

"Wow. Wow as in"I've seen this before and I know exactly what to do." kinda wow, cause that's the kind of wow we're hoping for." I said.

"I think you might be overestimating my abilities." Deaton  said.

"He's cold. Really coold." Lydia said, grabbing Derek's hand. I touched Ariana's cheek and quickly pulled my hand back.

"She's freezing." I said.

"Do you think this is permanent?" Scott asked.

"I'm not sure a medical diagnosis is even adequate. This is well beyond my experience." Deaton said.

"So, what do we do with them?" I asked.

"Until they wake up? Probably not much. It might be best to leave them with me. It'll be safe here." he said.

"You mean from Kate?" I asked.

"If she's alive and she is what you say she is, she won't be able to walk past that gate."

"Why would she wanna do this to them?" Lydia asked.

"Knowing Kate it's probably a reason that won't be any good for anyone but her." Deaton said.

"And bad for everyone else." I said.

"Yeah, you guys should probably go home. They don't look to be in any danger. So maybe the rest of you should maybe get some sleep. It is a school night. You all need to start taking care of your own lives again." he said.

"Someone should stay with you." Scott said.

"I'll stay. My grades are fine. Despite missing a few classes." she said.

"Yeah, I'm so not okay with this." I said. She lookes at me.

"Guys, go." she said.

"No." I said.

"Text us if anything happens." Scott said.

"Nope. I'm still not okay with it. I'm not going anywhere." I said but was soon pulled away by Scott. "Alright just cause you're stronger..."
