Sleeping Days & Half Nights

Insomnia

Has changed

My clock

From linear

To out of sync

So now

I am

Sleeping days

And half nights

Whatever my head

Affords me

Feeling like

An old fairytale

A woman

Out of this

Dimension

For 100 years

And yet

Sleeping Beauty

I'm not

Days bleed into

Each other

Like clouds

Across the sky

Horizon meets the land

Is the land not flat

No it is not

It is round

Circular

Round

So very round

Time goes on

Changes

Dates

Grow

Single then double digits

Yet

I sleep days

And half nights

When I am allowed

Until I can

Do normal nights

Have my days not

Be spent

Wrapped in solitude

Of my blanket

My disillusioned thoughts

When this illness

Leaves my body

Like a fog leaving

The ocean clear

Then perhaps

All time

Will reform itself

The right way

Days to live

Nights to sleep

Dream

Peacefully dream

Without searching

For the lost

Or fear

Don't need

Handsome prince's kiss

Just lift the darkness off

And make me whole again
