Not what I was expecting

Set Up!

I could hear my phone ringing but I refused to start the day yet. I'd been working so much the last week due to parents nights at work and today is my first day off and I intended to stay in my bed for the whole day, so whoever it is will need to wait until I am ready to be awake.

Stretching my hand out the covers I fumble around until it lands on my phone and I slide the button on the side to silence it and pull the covers back over my head to block out any light and snuggle back down into my delicious Theo James dream.

Just when Theo is about to finally kiss me the stupid house phone begins to ring. No one calls the house phone! "Argh!" I groan and quickly roll out of bed tripping over my feet trying to get my bearing to make it to the living room. "Ouch!" I cry as I bang my thigh on the coffee table in the hall before finally stumbling down the hall and grabbing the phone off the kitchen side. "Hello" I answer breathlessly rubbing my thigh to try and stop the pain travelling up my leg. "What have you been up to?" Samantha laughs from the other end as I groan. "Why would you call the house phone? You know I would feel the need to answer it incase something was wrong" I moan at her. "That's exactly why I did it. If you had just answered your cell then I wouldn't have had to do it" she tells me between laughs. "Urgh! What is it?" I ask as I walk towards the fridge to get a bottle of water and crack the lid for a drink. "I need a favour" she starts and I roll my eyes knowing it's not going to be a small one. "Go on" is all I reply hoping she will continue and smile when she does.

"Right, well, I need to go into a meeting that's going to run all day and I'd booked some treatments for today so thought you could use them so that I didn't loose the money?" she tells me making me frown "really?" I answer and sit at the kitchen island. "Yea, I knew it was your day off and thought you deserved a bit of pampering" she says happily and I smile at her thoughtfulness. "Awww, that's so lovely. What have you got booked? I can pay you back if I use them" I tell her knowing I will need to see what's in my measly bank account but I don't want her to ever think I'm taking a loan of her.  "Don't you dare. It's my treat. You don't ever let me do it and god knows you don't do it for yourself so please use them and enjoy" she says far to excitedly. "We can go out tonight my treat so you can show off your new look" she tells me and I can hear her typing in the background.

"What are the bookings?" I ask squinting at my phone to see it's ten in the morning already. I was planning on it being twelve before I moved today! "I'll send you the details. I've also got an outfit for you and will send the reservations for later tonight. Eeekkk, I'm so excited" she tells me as I pull the phone away from my ear to save my eardrum. "What do you mean an outfit? I've got clothes in my cupboard" I tell her confused as to why she's going to so much trouble. "I don't have time to go into that argument just now, Scarlett sent pics of some choices she had on the rack so don't even worry about money as they're free before you start stressing. Just enjoy the day and then get ready and meet us tonight" she says using her bossy voice and I find myself nodding along. "Fine" I huff out "if I must" I laugh as she does before hanging up.

"An hour and half for waxing? What the hell?!" I mean I'm not a yeti so why would I need that long? Trying not to over think it I head for a shower and pull on a pair of leggings, an off the shoulder jumper and a pair of sandals. If I'm going to be spruced up may as well be comfortable. Just as I'm getting ready to leave my mobile rings with Mike from receptions number. "Hey Mike" I greet as I stuff my keys and purse into my bag. "Miss MacGregor, Miss Watson has sent her car for you to use today" he informs me and find myself rolling my eyes again. "She knew that you wouldn't know where all the shops were and her driver was free so she says you haven't to complain and just get in the car" he laughs knowing how bossy Samantha can be when she wants to be. "I'm just coming" I huff with a smile. "That's a good girl! See you soon" he tells me and hangs up.
