Chapter 1

Third Person POV (Not edited)

          Mark Johnson was just talking to his new fiancé's kids on face-time, when his eldest daughter came skipping down humming happily to herself.

"Hi dad. Good Morning," she gushed out barely hiding her excitement.

"Whats got you so happy? Aren't you supposed to be the grumpy one."

Before Katherina could reply her little sister came bouncing down but immediately came to a halt seeing Katherina.

"Whoa! What did you do? Please tell me you didn't..." Before Kristina could get her sentence out, their youngest triplet sister stomped down the stair and into the kitchen.

"What the hell is wrong with you! Why the hell would you steal kits?" Kassandra screamed glaring at her sister, "I was almost done with the project!"

Before Katherina could reply, Kristina said, "Wait you stole her kits? You know what she does when she gets anxious."

Kass: "Oh she thought of that too, she hid everything I could have used."

Kris:"Why would you do that?"

Kath:"If you two would have let me speak, I would have told you by now. But I don't care whether you go swimming or jump on the trampoline. Hell you could stare at the moon all night like in those novels but if you spend your night awake to make me one more pillow with those horrible motivational quotes, I will personally rip you to shreds and feed you to the crows."

Kass:"Seriously, that's what this is about? You could have just told me, I would have made something else, besides I thought you liked those quotes, I got them from your wall of quotes."

Kath:"The wall of quotes I made a decade ago when we were 6 and I thought that the tooth fairy and Santa Clause still exists?"

Kass:"Sorry, I hated them as much as you seem to, I would have stopped a long time ago if you had just asked,"

Before anyone could say anything else Kristina interrupted them while grabbing an apple, "Okay, you guys solved the problem?Good because I'm hungry and I can't eat with you two bickering like two year old idiots."

When they finally quieted down, their dad interrupted the peace by telling them the big news, "Now that you guys finally stopped arguing, I have something to tell you guys," After a moment of dramatic silence, Mark continued, "I'm engaged."

After exchanging looks with one another Katherine said, "What," Followed by Kristina's "Since When," And Kassandra ended it by pointing at the brunette lady she just noticed, "With her?"

Expecting their reactions Mark answered each of their questions, "I'm going to get married after your summer vacation starts. I got engaged last week but I wanted you to meet her when I tell you guys the big news and yes that's her, her name is Jennifer."

"You know, I was expecting something like this for a few years now, because according to pychology men usually have moved on by now," Kass said breaking the silence.

Her older sisters immediately started talking with one another but stopped and got their bags when Kassandra reminded them they were going to be late if they don't leave now. Right before they left however, Kristina reminded the couple that they were going to finish this when they came back and slammed the door.

Once the three sisters left, Mark let out the breath he was holding while turning to his fiancé, "Well that could have gone worse," 

Before Jennifer could reply however a boy said "Wow, your kids sure are something, " As if just realizing they were still on call the set of adults looked down at the phone, "You guys heard all that? Well don't tell them that I know Kassie doesn't sleep much, they try so hard to hide it," The last statement gaining a lot of laughs, the group ended the call after a quick goodbye.

This is my first story so I welcome a lot of constructive criticism. Also give me story ideas because I may use them. Til next time, Sayonara
