Meeting a new acquaintance

It seemed like hours when we arrived at an abandoned hotel. There was one room that was two stories that survived. The rest was destroyed and rubble. It was quite cold and than Charlotte sent a blast of hot air into the room but it extinguished in a second. "Let me handle it" Sophie said. She went over to the fireplace and cupped her hands over the wood. Flames flowed freely from the palm of her hands and set the wood alight. Sara walked over to the light switch and clicked it. Nothing happened. She tried again but the electricity must have been cut off. "I will make little beams of light over the two stories." Emma said. She walked downstairs and started lighting up the place. Freya grabbed the bag full of food and opened a box of canned soup, put it in a pan and set it over the fire. We all sat next to the fire and Daisy burst out laughing which set everyone off and it felt like the old days when we had nothing to worry about anything like saving the world. We dished out the soup evenly and ate laughing and having fun. After we were all finished and were tired we headed into our rooms but first having a shower and changing into pyjamas that managed to save from the house.

I woke up to Claire and Freya shaking my shoulder saying that we have to get out of here. I helped Freya and Claire wake everyone up. We went downstairs carrying our bags just as the roof was torn off. We saw the problem for the first time. There was a massive hurricane speeding right towards us. We ran out side but the winds were too fierce to move let alone run. I scaredly created a rock wall to help us try and not get sucked up inside the hurricane. We crouched low and watched as it sped towards us. A girl wearing a grey shirt and red skirt with black boots crashed into the wall and held her hands in front of the hurricane. She got up and thrust her hands at the hurricane harder and it dissolved. "Wow!" Claire exclaimed. The girl turned around "Oh I didn't see you guys there. My name is Amelie. I am a big fan. I was running from the volcano which wiped the rest of you guys out and got killed. I came back on earth as a goddess of controlling nature. Can I join you guys? I know a place where we will be safe for a while. It is in the Amazon forest." We greeted her and agreed to let her join them. She led the way and Freya said to me, "She seems a bit suspicious don't you think?" I nodded and we looked at them walking with Amelie.

"We are here!" Amelie exclaimed. We all crowded around and saw a massive cave. "I don't know about this it seems a bit sketchy" I said aloud but all of them disagreed and said that it is safe except for Freya who agreed with me. Freya and I were overruled. We followed Amelie into the dark cave. Sophie cupped her hands and lit a fire inside of them to see better. As we went deeper and deeper into the cave we got more worried and  anxious. "Here's the room I've been staying in...." Amelie explained to the group. It had a couple of beds and a couch with a TV and a fridge and a microwave and finally a pantry. This was the only place that was well lit. "You guys can go in first i have to go collect more blankets anyway from the storage cupboard away just next to here, there is a fork in the tunnel on the right side that I keep all of my  excess stuff. Don't stare at me like that I've been in here for like months!" Amelie explained. We slouched into the cave and sat down on some of the mattresses. As soon as we settled down Amelie closed a door we didn't notice with iron bars on it. All of the stuff except for the mattresses disappeared and she gave an evil laugh. "I can't believe you guys weren't suspicious of me. I lied. I actually am a goddess of shape shifting and illusions. All of that stuff like the tornado was FAKE!!!!!! I actually am Odes girlfriend. Well I'll leave you here while I go fetch Ode." She gave a malicious grin and disappeared into the darkness of the cave. 

"Shit, we should have believed you and Freya when yous were suspicious of her and now we are trapped for Ode to find and give us to the other gods. We are screwed!" Claire said to me. We all let this sink in and Charlotte's eyes began to start to glow red. "EVERY ONE TAKE COVER SHE'S GONNA BLOW!" Emma yelled everyone ducked while she stood up straighter and flung a shield of light around us acting like a force field. White and red Light exploded around us as Charlotte exploded and yelled arms flung out wide. We all covered our eyes as she and Charlotte battled with red and white light. "I CAN"T HOLD IT MUCH LONGER EVERYONE TAKE COVER!!!!!!" Emma screamed. "CHARLOTTE STOP REMEMBER WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS YOU WILL HURT US IF YOU DON'T STOP!!!" I yelled as I tried to wrap her in vines to block the light from escaping and injuring her or us. This didn't really seem to have an effect though her glowing eyes dimmed but were replaced with a more powerful surge of red light. "GUYS I'M SORRY!!" Emma released the white shield that was slowly dimming and we braced ourselves. Freya stood up as the red light approached us and said "No you don't!" . She conjured a shield of brick walls to save her some time and created a massive black shield around us and her eyes glowed black and her long hair started to stand up and float above her head and she started to levitate with black light emanating from her hands. It seemed as realisation started to hit when we saw Charlotte's glowing red eyes started to dim and then fade entirely and the red and black light faded.
