The chilly autumn wind blew against my face.

The sun shone dully through the clouds.

That's when I saw her through the window.

Her hair wasn't tied up in her usual ponytail.

Instead, it was curled and elegantly draped over her shoulders.

I was surprised.

Surprised that it was her.

Why was it her?

She would never bat an eye in my direction.

Was it because of my looks?

My nature?

My strength?

I doubt all.

But as I opened the glass door of the coffee shop.

She looked at me.

Her eyes shone a tint of hopefulness.

My boots dryly thumped against the wooden floorboards.

Stepping slowly.

Slowly towards her.

Then stopped.

"I'm delighted you came."

She smiled modestly, her voice half-an octave higher, a slight blush on her cheeks.

"There isn't a need to be nervous around me."

I sat down and straightened my coat.

"I assume your motive is for me to go out with you, no?"

"Indeed, it is."

I nodded and crossed my legs, suppressing a wry smile.

"How about we start with introductions? I understand you are in my class, but it only seems to be polite to do so."

Her lips slightly parted and she shifted slightly in her seat.

"Very well, I'll begin."
