I once dreamed of taking flight
I wanted to soar
To breathe in time with supernovas
Take all the paths they dared
But only birds can sing to the atmosphere
And like an eclipse
My shadow fell
I suppose I'm not a free spirit
Or a winged sign of freedom
But rather a wildfire
Who flared brightly
Before they burned out.
