I walk out of my house onto the dew soaked grass, I smell the fresh spring air. The sun has just come up, and the sky is filled with bright red. My long blonde hair with purple ends blows in the wind. Before I know it my feet are taking me to my car door. I step into the driver's seat, and put the keys into the rusty car start. Set my piping hot purple and white polka dot mug that is filled with mocha into the cup holder that's next to me. I grab my phone and check my messages one more time before putting my car into reverse, and pulling out onto the barren suburban road. The houses are so rundown compared to mine, almost makes me feel bad for them. I come to the stop sign at the end of the road and plug in my phone with the cord that is attached to my radio. I open spotify and put on my favorite playlist. I drive for the next 10 mins blasting music and nodding my head. I pull into the school parking lot third spot from the door, my spot. The school sold parking spots for up to $100 depending on how close to the door you are. Technically I have the 1st spot but the handicap need more spots. I walk into the small crowded hallway. I make it about halfway to my locker before my best friend Kassie Burgo steps in front of me.
"Guess what." Kassie said her big green eyes looking up at me.
"You made the cheer team." I say in a sarcastic voice.
"Oh my gosh! How did you know Maddie?"
"Because I know everything."
The bell rings. Great now I get to be late to history again.
I walk to my locker, 420. I turn the dial 2 times before entering the combo 2-19-04. My birthday, the day I love the most because I can be as self absorbed as possible.

Its the end of 5th period now. I pack up my bag and head out the door, only to find my boyfriend Jaiden standing outside the door his arms wide open, and a smirk on his face. I love Jaiden with my whole heart, but I try not to fall in love in high school. It probably won't work out any way, so why get my hopes up for no reason. Mother always says she wants me to find a rich husband with a good job so I could be a stay at home mother just like her, but I think I want something real. I walk into Jaidens long tone arms, and he wraps them around me and kisses my forehead.
"Hey baby how was your day?"
"Meh, same stuff a different day ya know."
"Where do you want to go out to dinner tonight baby girl?"
"Hm let me think...I know olive garden. I've really been craving some pasta lately."
"Anything for you baby."
He pulls me aside of him as we walk to lunch together.
