She paused as she got ready to insert the second. "Your eyes are going to be blue now." I nodded taking out my ID and making small adjustments to this surface. She took my face once again watching as I closed my new optical unit so I didn't have to watch. She almost had it into place when there was a knock at my door.
My body stiffened and we both turned to face the door. Standing in the doorway was Hank, his hand frozen in the air. My hand flew up to cover the area that was missing. "Y-your...." His face contorted from disbelief to anger. Rayna stood and pulled him into the room locking the door. I hugged my knees closer to my chest.
Tears already started to fall from my new eye. "I'm not... I'm not an android." I muttered, my throat felt dry and sore. Hank stomped over to me, grabbing onto my collar pulling me to my feet. I didn't fight it, I couldn't even look him in the eye. I felt his gun at my head, closing one eye I had I waited.
It hurt... to think that I had basically betrayed him into this. Into tolerating my presence given what I was. I felt... disgusted with myself, with the kind of person I have become."Tell me why I shouldn't kill you now, you damned piece of plastic!" I didn't say anything, my chest was tight. I felt something trickle down my nose. Hanks hand loosened slightly as I reached up to wipe it.
The back of my hand was red, the smell of copper penetrated my sense of smell. "Rayna, I-" my body felt hot and fuzzy, my knees buckled making Hank release my shirt.
The carpet scraped my skin as my face ran over its surface. "(Y/n)!" I couldn't breathe or move my android arm. The skin covering its surface pulled back. "We need to change out that Thirium... now." I tried to shake my head. I didn't want this. "We either change it out, or I call your father." Her voice was stern as she spoke, leaving me very few options.
She picked me up, Hank was staring at me in horror. Rayna rushed out of my room door and into the living room. Connor stood from the sofa and stared at me as she set me on the sofa. She started unbuttoning my shirt, just enough to get to my Thirium pump.
Turning to Connor she stared at him. "Watch her. Don't let her close that eye." She looked determined, he just gave a small nod. I watched her leave the room and move to the room we kept my supplies. The drain, the bio-bag and the fresh Thirium. I felt my eye start to drift close, Connor was quick to tap my face.
I blinked, my hand clinging to my shirt in pain. "You need to stay awake, Lieutenant (Y/n)." I didn't want to, I just wanted to sleep. "You got a concussion earlier, you really should stay awake." His hand lifted the android one and looked it over. Moving down to look at the dirty pant leg and lifted that up to. The white plastic of it easily could be seen below it. He glanced to my other leg doing the same but he looked confused.
Rayna rushed to my side quickly setting the drain up. "Alright, here we go. Remember, look at me, not the container." My eye focused on her as she placed the drain into the pump. Tears dropped quickly, I felt like I was dying. Connors brows furrowed as he moved to pick up the container. She quickly batted his hand away. "Don't touch it until the Thirium is drained."
As the seconds passed I could feel more blood drip from my nose, Rayna just wiped it away her hand rubbing mine. Once she decided it was empty she set should cleaning out the mechanisms before draining Thirium back into the pump. I watched in horror as Connor dipped his fingers into the container and brought it up to his tongue. "This isn't Thirium... it's Ghirium, a byproduct.
Rayna glanced at him, cringing slightly. "That is because it is what gets created by her body. It not only fuels her Bio-components but assists in her regular functions. We have to do this monthly... to keep her alive." I closed my eye, tears falling freely from my face. Guilt... I felt guilty. I felt... hatred, because of what I was.
