I woke up to Rayna shaking my shoulder. "Good morning, (Y/n). It's already almost 9:30am, you should get up and take your shower. This way we can be certain that everything is in place before you head out to work." I nodded moving my stiff limbs into a sitting position. I needed to start moving around.
Rayna helped me to my feet before heading off to what I assume was the kitchen for breakfast, she's good. Making my way up the stairs I wandered into my room to grab my clothes for today. "Rayna.. Is it supposed to rain today?!"
There was a slight pause. "No, I don't believe it is, but I will have an umbrella in your car just in case." I nodded to myself getting my black button-up shirt, blue blazer, and jeans. My shower lasted longer today, close to ten minutes before I stepped out and headed down the stairs. "Today we have an Herbal Breakfast Casserole with a Cheese Danish. Also I took the liberty to make you a Kale Pineapple Smoothie."
She set the tray on the table as I walked over. "As always it looks amazing. Thank you, Rayna." With a smile she walked away to finish the lunch for me. We had a suspicion that Hank was going to be eating from Chicken Feed today. I assumed that he would not be speaking with me in a very... generous mood today. So having Rayna make him something might push it over the edge.
Especially after what happened last night. "Here you are, (Y/n). Today your lunch is a Roasted Salmon with Green beans and tomatoes. I did pull a cooler pack and some Thirium. I suggest you take some time later and filter them into your system." I nodded, finishing up my meal and heading out to the station.
(Connor POV)
I walked through the garden to speak with Amanda. She was trimming roses in the center. She knew I was there but didn't react to me as such. "Hello, Amanda."
With a rose in her hand she finally turned. "Connor. It's good to see you." There was another moment of silence. "Congratulations, Connor. Even with what happened to Lt. Kamski you remained objective and located the Deviant. That wasn't easy, and the way you interrogated it was very clever. You've been remarkably efficient, Connor."
I put up a smile. "Thank you, Amanda."
Just as quickly she turned away from me. "We've asked the DPD to transfer it to us for further study. It may teach us something about what happened. The interrogation seemed... challenging. What did you think of the deviant?"
She turned back to her roses. "It showed signs of PTSD after being abused by its owner, as if its original program had been completely replaced by new instructions."
She picked up a spray bottle spraying the leaves lightly. "These... Lieutenant Anderson and Kamski have been officially assigned to the deviancy case. I want to know what you make of them."
Perhaps I should start with Anderson. "I think Anderson is irritable, and socially challenged. He looked at (Y/n) with disgust and disdain after she fell off that chair. But I also think he used to be a good detective. He's an intriguing character. I'm not sure what to make of Kamski yet, but I intend on keeping my eye on her. When she fell off the chair, I thought I heard something click when I pressed on her chest."
Amanda turned to me quickly. "Unfortunately, we have no choice but to work with them. What do you think is the best approach?"
I had to pause. "With Anderson I will try to establish a friendly relationship. With Kamski, I will adapt as needed. She should pose quite a challenge. If I can get them to trust me, it will be helpful for the investigation."
She was definitely not pleased with my answers. "More and more androids show signs of deviancy. There are millions in circulation. If they become unstable, the consequences will be disastrous. You are the most advanced prototype CyberLife has ever created. If anyone can figure out what's happening, its you."
