Only You

Chapter Seven

After my shower, I hear a noise coming from Leos bedroom. Before I opened the door to head back into the room I hear a whisper.

"What are you guys doing here, know is not a good time," Leo says while I'm on the other side of the door.

"I just wanted to see how she was doing." a familiar voice says. Wait that is Maddie.

"Maddie!" I say running out of the bathroom into her open arms.

"See she wanted to see me, " as she looks over at Leo.

"I just haven't seen you in a while, how has school been?" I say pulling back from her to look around the room.

"We haven't gone... since you got hurt the first time." as she looks at Greyson.

"Hi Greyson," I say looking for Leo. "Where did Leo go?" looking around not seeing him.

"He went to take a shower since you are out. Do you want to get something to eat or do you want to go to sleep?" Greyson asks.

"I'm gonna wait for Leo he still has some explaining to do. But thanks for the offer, " I say to Greyson. They then leave Leo's room and shut the door. I walk over to the bed and lay down to wait for Leo.

"Wake up Amara you need to eat" I hear a voice next to me. Wait I fell asleep, Dang I was gonna talk to Leo, Wait I think Leo is trying to wake me up.

"I'm getting up" I yawn out as I sit up from the bed. I look around to see Leo next to me on the bed. He has a smirk on his face, why is he smirking. "What?" I say confused.

"Oh, nothing I see you haven't noticed yet" as Leo tries to get up. Wait I'm really close to Leo why is he having trouble getting up. Wait half my body is still laying on Leo. "I see you figured it out" he laughs.

"I will move, how long did I sleep for?" I ask with my cheeks still feeling as if they are on fire. I move off of Leo so he is able to stretch and stand up.

" Well you have been sleeping for three hours and I have been for an hour, My mother is calling us down to eat," he says putting on a shirt. Wait he wasn't wearing a shirt, I wasn't paying attention no way. "Are you ready to head down to eat?"

"Sure let me see if my hair is still semi-straight" as I walk into the bathroom. I find a hairbrush and run it through a couple of times. "Ok I'm ready now," I say walking back into the bedroom.

" Let's go," he says taking my hand and walking out the door.

As we reach the kitchen I realize I'm not ready for this. I met his parents but I'm not ready for all of this I have been told that werewolves exist and I am to be a leader of a pack, oh and I am suppose to be a wolf also.

"Leo I can't go in there, what if they don't accept me," I say softly as I stop in my tracks.

Leo turns around to face me. "You got this if anyone can be welcomed as a wolf it should be you. Amara, you have been through so much you can deserve to be happy. I understand that all of this is new to you, but I believe you can prove them wrong."

After all that I am pressed up against the wall not able to move an inch. Leo is so close I can smell his minty breath as we stand there. I look into his eyes to see he meant everything he said. I notice his eyes flicker down to my lips as I look at him. What is he thinking, hopefully, he can't hear my heartbeat as it beats a mile a minute. I stare back at him feeling my cheeks heat up.  I see him come closer then I feel his lips on mine, I respond in an instant and feel the electrical feel. I pull away quickly once I realize what I'm doing.

"I'm sorry," I say looking up at him. As his eyes are full of sadness. "How am I able to love someone when I have never seen love," I say trying to figure this out. I have known Leo for a very short period of time. I feel like this because of the mate thingy he mentioned it's not real. I think to myself.

"Amara, I will show you what it means to be happy and feel loved, I won't do that again till you tell me it is ok to do so," he says taking my hand and leading me into the dining room.

I look around and there are only two spots open at the head of the table. Everyone else is in their seats, I see Mr. and Mrs. Collman sitting near us. On the other side of me then across is Greyson and Maddie. As I look down the table I also see what looks like Greyson's parents next to them then Ezra and a girl I have not met before and I assume his parents as well.

"Thank you for all waiting for us," Leo says to the rest of the table. " I have a special announcement this is my mate, Amara." as he looks around the table. "I hope you will treat her with the same respect as you do when you talk to me. Let's get dinner started."

As dinner is served people begin to talk to one and another. "Leo who is all here?" I whisper to Leo.

"Well, we have the Beta family which is second in command. Greyson is the Beta and Maddie is a female Beta. Greyson's parents are here tonight too since they were the past Betas. Then you know Ezra is Third in command or also known as Delta. The girl next to Ezra is his mate Harper and she is the female Delta. His parents are also here for the same reason and we'll my family is here because they are family." Leo explains as we eat dinner.

Once we are finished with dinner all the parents leave and it is just the six of us.

"Hello Luna, my name is Harper and it is a pleasure to meet you, " the girl with blond hair and green eyes.

"Hi, you can call me Amara," I say back.

"Ezra has told me so much about you, " Harper says. As she walks to the couch. I look around and sit next to Leo on the couch. He looks over at my surprised.

"What," I ask confused. All I did was sit next to the person that has helped me the most.

"Nothing just happy you sat next to me, " he says with a small smile.

He turns back to talk to Greyson and Ezra. I just look around the room not sure about what to do. I see Maddie on her phone while playing with Greyson's hand. Then I look at Harper and she is on Ezra's lap asleep. How did she fall asleep so fast? Who knows. I look at Leo as he talks I notice the little things as I sit next to him. Like how the end of his hair curls. Also how sharp his jaw is when he isn't talking. Lastly how he moves his hands when he is talking to the others. The next thing I know I have moved closer to him. Leo seems to notice this and pulls me onto his lap where I am laying my head on his shoulder. It is so warm right next to him also the feel between us is nice, I slowly start to fall asleep on his lap.

I feel Leo stir and say, "Well guys I better get Amara to bed she is still very new to everything and is still healing from all her injuries, " Leo says to Greyson and Ezra.

"Goodnight, " they both say.

I feel him stand up with me still in his arms. As he moves me around to carry me upstairs he grabs my ribs a little too tight and I let out a squeak.

"Sorry Amara I didn't mean to do that I was just trying to get you to bed, " Leo says still walking up the stairs.

" It's ok it just took me by surprise. What we're you talking about with you Beta and Delta?" I ask trying not to push.

"It is nothing you need to worry about. How about tomorrow we can go walk around the pack and see the land." as Leo opens the door to his room? Or is it ours? I have no clue but I'm too tired to care. Leo places me on the bed and I immediately get under the blankets to fall asleep. I feel the bed dip for a second and see Leo next to me in just some shorts. This is weird whatever, get used to it. Wait Leo has a six pack, I guess this won't be too bad. I think before I fall asleep thinking about the boy next to me.
