Neyonika walked elegantly setting up the breakfast table when one by one everyone came down. It was a lovely morning but there was an unsettling silence in the house.
Manik took seat besides his father on his right and Neyonika settled down on the left of Raj. The seat besides Manik was left empty and then sat Mukti, Abhi, Abhir, Samar and Mahi besides him where as Cabir, Navya, Druv and Aliya sat besides Neyonika.
"Avni kaha hai?" Raj asked Neyonika making everyone stop
"Soo rahi hai" Neyonika said "Pata nahi thodi dull lag rahi thi kal raat, pucha tho bola ki tabiyat kharab lag rahi hai" she said pouring a juice for herself but corner of the eye she observed her son who clearly wanted more information. He always did this though he pretended not to be but he was interested
"Sone do usse phir baad mein usse baat kar lunga" Raj said.
"Mamu aaj aap please office maat jao na" Mahi requested him
"Mahi aaj mujhe bahut important meeting hai princess" Manik said
"Daaaaduuuu" they heard a scream which made Raj look up with jerk and Neyonika get up from her chair. Rest all just froze
"Daaaaduuuu!" when he heard Avni yell again Raj was already on his toes followed by Neyonika. Manik followed them close, running behind them
"Avni" Raj braged in to see Avni on her bed, sitting relaxed but her comforter was held close.
Manik stood out when he saw Neyonika enter behind Raj
"Kya tarika hai?" Shrikant asked frowning at her
"Hashhhh! Where were you?" she asked him in return
"Yahi toh tha baba, why did you yell like that?" he asked as both sat besides her
"I thought you went back to India" Avni said frowning making Raj and Neyonika frown
"Avni baccha, we are in India" Neyonika said creasing her face and combing her hairs with her hand
"Huh?" Avni looked at them confused and then it drawn to her she came to India yesterday
"Oh!" she said realizing
"For a second I thought you people left and someone kidnapped me" she said giggling
"Haso maat, dara diya tha" Raj said hugging her and that's when Manik peeped in to see Avni's face his in his father's chest and he had a protective hand going around her. This scene sudden made him guilty and he just stood outside with looking what's going inside, so he just heard things now
"Ammm, I wanted to talk" Raj said breaking the hug
"Remember I wanted to talk about something" he started
"Haan" she encouraged him to continue.
He was going to continue when his phone rang
"Haan Mohan?" he answered seeing the caller
"Abhi?" he asked looking at Avni
"Thik hai" he said and hung up
"Dadu and Dadi ko urgently office jana hai, aap thik re rehegi na?" he said touching her forehead and her neck
"Toda garam hai" before he said something eles she removed his hand
"God Dadu I am fine, it's because of the travel, you go, I'll be fine" she assured him
"But...."
"But what Dadi, I can take care of myself and this is my house, isn't it?" She interrupted Neyonika
