She awoke from a nightmare with a gasp and her breath quickened, but slowing as she glanced around. As she glanced around she remembered what happened before she passed out. The memory would have had light, if any would have been present in the occurrence of that specific memory, but just like now there was absolutely no light whatsoever. The world was the void and she was lost in it. Her hands slowly lifted to her face and felt, thank goodness, only dried blood this time around. She smiled for the first time since she'd been in the vast void, and it wasn't even because she was genuinely happy. It was just because, for the first time of this whole experience, she wasn't leaking her red hot internal substances everywhere.
She readied herself to attempt to get to her feet again by already clenching her teeth. She prepared herself and placed her hands on the ground to which no pain occurred as she began to push herself up. She audibly gasped and when she was to her feet, immediately slowly reached one hands fingers towards where the cuts had previously been on the opposing hand. She was shocked to find absolutely no cuts and no blood, not even any dried. Her hands were completely clean and, seemingly, healed. The world then seemingly got slightly lighter. Not light enough, though, just slightly lighter to where the darkness looked less like darkness and more like smoke. She felt lightheaded so she stood still for a minute just to let her brain get clear.
As she had began walking with her hands outstretched in front of her, she was stopped in her tracks by a sudden burst of light. She suddenly remembered something, a memory was coming to her. Some was yelling "GODDAMMIT ROSE!" And then she heard glass break as she felt her skin tear. She let out a loud yelp as blood dropped from her forehead onto her cheek. She felt her blood oozing out from more that just her forehead. Suddenly it was back to just darkness. She felt tears flow, but she couldn't lay down, she was stronger than that! She had glass thrown at her and survived and still was! She simply HAD to keep trudging and forward, and that was exactly what she was going to do, no matter what!
