Dealing with Hank

I gave a small nod. "You can count on me, Amanda." With that said she walked away and I exited the program. When I arrived at the station I set about looking for both Anderson and (Y/n). They weren't at their desks yet. "Excuse me. Do you know what time Lieutenants Anderson and Kamski usually arrive?"

The man at the desk looked back slightly. "Normally (Y/n), is already in the office. She hasn't shown up yet though, which is a little odd. As for Hank, it depends on where he was the night before. If we're lucky, we'll see him before noon."

I gave him a small thanks and turned my attention back to the desks. Deciding to look and see what I could discover about them. (Y/n)'s desk was neat and had a few photos on them. One had am RA900 android on it. They were both smiling and she looked rather happy. There was also a letter from her father.

'Hey, (Y/n), I'm sorry about what happened to Rayna the other night. It must have been hard for you. I sent over some supplies that your going to need and a few upgrades. Make sure Rayna fixes them in properly. If you have to, call me and I will walk her through the process. It's really not a difficult procedure. Just take care of yourself. Anyway, the package should arrive with Rayna after she is repaired.'

Was (Y/n) sick? Or perhaps it had something to do with what happened last night. "Look, I know I'm late. Rayna already called Fowler last night to let him know." I looked back seeing (Y/n) talking with another officer. "Yeah, well, there wasn't much I could do about it. I had an emergency come up. It was amazing that I could even make it off my sofa this morning. If I didn't have Rayna around, I'm not sure I would have been able to at all." She let out a sigh. "Yeah, yeah. I know. I'll be more careful next time. See ya."

She waved and started her way over to the desk. Stopping short as her eyes landed on me. "Hello, Lieutenant Kamski. It's good to see you again. I trust you are feeling better today?"

She blinked, staring at me like I was crazy. "Uh, yeah... I'm fine. I take it CyberLife sent you back here to work again?" I nodded slightly. "I see... well, I'm going to go get my assignment form Fowler.. You can... do whatever it was you were doing."

She looked tense as she walked away to the captain's office. I returned my attention to Anderson's desk. I learned he listened to Knights of the Black Death. When I tried to call him I only got a voice-mail. So I left a message before returning my attention to the desk. There was evidence of dog hair, he seemed to be against androids, and seemed to be a well decorated officer at one time. He also seemed to be a Detroit basketball fan.

Hearing footsteps I turned and saw him walking over. "It's good to see you again, Lieutenant."

He rolled his eyes. "Uh, Jesus."

I heard someone walking out of Fowlers office and saw (Y/n) walking down the steps. "Hank, Fowler wants to see you. Better get a move on." They both walked in opposite direction. I decided to follow (Y/n) as she headed to the breakroom. She paused, letting out a sigh before walking in.

As I followed I noted her eyes kept glancing to the side where two officers stood. "Well, would you look who finally decided to show up. If it isn't little (Y/n)." She rolled her eyes and refused to pay him a word. Then he laughed. "Fuck, look at that. Our friend the plastic detective is back in town. Congratulations on last night, very impressive!"

To this she did look back. "Hello, Detective Reed."

She eyed him as Reed walked closer to me. "Never seen an Android like you before. What model are you?"

I had no problem answering him. "RK800, I'm a prototype."

He tried to sound impressed. "A prototype?" (Y/n) could be heard scoffing in the background. "Android detective. So machines are gonna... replace us all. Is that it?" The next thing I knew (Y/n) was standing in front of me. Between myself and Reed. "Hey. bring me a coffee, dipshit. GET A MOVE ON!"

(Y/n) glared at him. "Get your own coffee, Gavin. Connor, let's go. We have work to do." She started to walk again when Reed grabbed her shoulders shoving her against the wall. She winced slightly. I took a step too her but she held up a hand to stop me.

Gavin was staring at her, his hands digging into her shoulder. She just stared him down. "I wasn't talking to you (Y/n), now buzz off." She rolled her neck slightly.

She didn't look like what he was doing hurt her in the slightest. "Gavin... I thought you would have figured out you can't hurt me on that arm. Or do you need a reminder?" Picking up a leg she kicked his shin, causing him to release his grip long enough for her to take his arm and pull it behind his back. "No apologize. When you do, I'll let you go."

He gritted his teeth as she pushed harder. After ten seconds he gasped. "I'm sorry, okay, I'm sorry. I give." She let go of his arm and took a few steps back. Watching him get to his feet before leaving the breakroom with the other officer at his heels. "You won't get away with this!" She rolled her eyes and started back to her desk.

I followed her as she brought a cup with her. Anderson was already at his desk. She slumped in her chair rolling it to the side so she could look at him. "Hank... are you mad at me?" He kept his arms crossed, averting his gaze from her. She looked hurt, yet, instead of pressing the matter she turned her chair back to her desk.

I could see her hands clench slightly, and a small tear roll down her face. "Listen, I know you don't like me, but the three of us are going to have to work together, we'll all have to make an effort." Anderson's face just scrunched up, he was definitely angry. "Now that we're partners, it would be great to get to know each other better." He still didn't respond, but her body language was deffenatly more tense than it had been before. "Is there a desk anywhere I could use?"

To this she stood up from her seat. "You can use mine, I need some air." She paused before walking away. "I guess... just let me know when we have a case. I'll be outside."
