We're the last tribe of the four regions any further than that we haven't traveled, we may be the last people on earth.
We survived not because we were prepared or saw it coming but because we have always been meant to survive if the earth died...
You see me and my people, we are the protectors and guardians of Mother Tree. She was the first, the one who brought all great living things small and large to this world to be loved by her.
I was to take a branch from her imbued with her essence and will to heal, to walk it from her roots across the ruined lands to the four regions
She says so long as this branch touch's the ground her roots will follow, well shaman Yata says she did.
Yata says Mother Tree isn't connected to the earth any more and we must help her heal the four regions. Without them... Without us the world beyond will never survive.
I have to leave tomorrow and I've been wondering a lot why they chose my to go but Yata tells me it wasn't up to my people, that Mother Tree chose me to go and for this I should feel honoured.
But Yata has has the answers, he knows what I must do and I trust him.
Shadows flail against the cavern walls while embers trickle out from under the stony ceiling to become one with the stars, I continue to stoke the fire as Yata speaks.
"You will lead Mother Tree to the mountains where all our water comes from, it's springs run far and deep and the water will carry her essence and life throughout the land. "
"Then through the valley where the water meets and the land was once the most fertile. You will bring a satchel of this earth from her feet and spread it to the ground. "
"After you will follow the river... it twists and turns and was once surrounded by beautiful lush green forests with glistening hints of every colour of the rainbow. Follow it until you reach the falls, that is where the two great winds meet hot and cold all the land would be scorched or frozen if they did not come together here in harmony. Here you use will these seeds from the branch, open their casings and disperse them to the wind."
"Far off in the distance you will see a great desert and you must find a way down the falls and to this desert. It will look desolate though no more than the world you'll see on your travels but we do not wish to change these lands but merely to tame them, the animals there will know no other home than that however when you arrive there plant this branch where the sands meet the earth to hold them where they lay and reconnect the lands with Mother Tree."
It sounds like a lot but I'll have Mother Tree with me to I guess it's time for an adventure.
