My body immediately went rigid. "No, thank you." I walked away from him and to the bathroom. I paused just outside the bathroom door and looked at the floor. I could see the Thirium against the wall, and the outlines of a ladder. Glancing up, I noted a handprint that looked to be made of thirium. I blinked but noted it for later.
The bathroom was small, and a little dirty. Pilling the curtain back I saw rA9 scratched into the wall. On the shower floor there was a small statuette, with flowers and a bowl. Picking up the statuette I noticed how light it was. Shaking it I could hear something inside but decided against breaking it. Leaving that behind me I went back to the living room.
Hank walked over to me. "Each letter is perfect... way too neat, no human writes like this. Except maybe you. In anycase, think this was written in the victim's blood?" I stepped over the knife to get closer to the victim.
A humm escaped my lips as I looked. "I'd say so, I know their taking samples but I wouldn't be surprised if they said it was. I'd also theorize it was written by the android. The reason it because it's written in CyberLife Sans. As far as I'm aware only the androids and people at CyberLife can use this font."
Nodding, Hank turned to the desk behind him. "Red ice. Seems our friend Carlos liked to party."
I was more focused on the Victim. 28 stab wounds, and there is evidence of red ice around his lips. Standing on my feet I thought. As he tried to run away from his killer he must have fallen over these bottles by his chair.
Walking a little further I noted the spot of blood. So this was where the first stabbing was. Probably the one located in his stomach. Which meant... "This all started in the kitchen." I mused seeing Connor look back at me.
I quickly averted my gaze to Hank. Hank nodded leading me with him into the kitchen. "There are obvious signs of a struggle... the question is, what exactly happened here."
This time Connor spoke up. "I think the victim attacked the android with the bat." I glanced down to the bat. There were fingerprints from our victim and the dents on the bat had Thirium on them. I nodded, that seemed reasonable. "Then, the android stabbed the victim."
Looking up I noted the missing knife from the wall. "It would seem, that like the others, this android was trying to defend itself. So when Ortis retreated to the living room to escape... he didn't make it. Instead getting killed and stabbed numerous times in the process."
Hank nodded and walked with Connor back to the living room. This got me thinking. If the killer didn't leave out the back, then where would he have gone? I turned my head to the attic. Taking a chair from the kitchen I walked over to the attic and set it down. Even with the chair I was going to need a boost.
My fingers just grazing the door of the attic. I set my foot on the back of the chair trying to get up a little higher. The chair shaking below me. "(Y/n)! What the hell are you-" Before Hank could finish my foot slipped as the chair started falling back. My eyes widened as I landed with a heavy thud on my back.
I gasped feeling my Thirium pump dislodge slightly. I couldn't breathe and everything started blacking out. I tried lifting my hand to push it back in but couldn't seem to hit it. Just when I thought it was over I heard the click from my pump and felt the air enter my lungs again. I took a heavy breath and started coughing.
Hank was staring at me with wide, resentful eyes. Connor looked curious. That didn't matter right now. Right now we needed to get the android. "The attic... it's in the attic." I let my eyes close. I heard steps leave my side and the chair scraping against the floor.
It was a few minutes before someone else came over and took my arm. "Come on, (Y/n), walk with me." I managed to open my eyes slightly and walk with the officer out to the porch. When I get home I'm going to need to replace some parts. "Hey, you alright? You look troubled."
As he spoke Chris and Ben led the android out of the home and into the cruiser. "Yeah.. I'll... I'll be fine. Let's just finish this up so I can get home. I have something I need to do. Can... can you help me to my car first?" He nodded, setting my arm over his shoulder.
The walk to my car was quiet, as he helped me in. "I'll meet you guys at the station tomorrow. Let me know what happened with the interview, yeah?" With a nod we went our separate ways. Parking my car outside my house, I used the siding to get to my front door. "Rayna! Rayna, I need my Thirium Pump changed!" Hardly two steps into the door I collapsed.
I could hear her running down the stairs. "(Y/n)! Oh, goodness, (Y/n)!" I felt her hands pull me away from the door before closing it behind her. I felt her help me to the couch before running off to get some Thirium and a new pump. I tried to relax, knowing what was coming. "Alright, remember, take a big breath and this will take ten seconds."
I nodded, preparing myself mentally for the feeling of death that was going to overcome me. One... take in the breath. Two... turn to start the dislodge. Three... grip onto the sofa tighter. Four... removal of the pump. Six... clean any debris inside. Seven... align pump. Eight... push into place. Nine... breathe out. Ten... it's over again.
Rayna attached the tube to introduce more Thirium into the pump replacing any that we lost in this process. Her hand gently rubbing my forehead as she tried to soothe me. We both knew I was going to be into work late tomorrow. So she called and left a message for Fowler telling him it was because of my medical condition.
After she was done she left the room for water and a few blankets. Like always she had me drink the water after introducing any new Thirium into my systems. Using a towel she cleaned up any that fell onto my chest or floor area.
Finally, she set the blankets over me, we knew I wasn't leaving the sofa until later that morning. I let my eyes close, a yawn escaped my lips and I drifted off into the endless darkness of my sleep.
