We were so happy and engrossed in our past, we forgot about the present.Until Dan woke me up to my senses.
"Umm...Amy?The masked man?"he asked, a bit dazed.
I slammed my head with my hand after realising.Maya looked at me strangely, as if I was used to hunting masked men and stuff.I cut the story short and described the man.I saw the colour drain out of her face when I described to her.She brought me to the cubbies where all the photos of the orphans are.She pointed at the scrawny guy, 18.Casey's age.I never realised how tall he was for his age.
Also looking at his photo, I realised he looked quite smart.He had a regal expression which was strangely familiar and eyes which were hazelnut brown.His skin complexion was pale and his hair was ruffled.
Maya explained about him.
Seems like he is not a regular type.He had mild autism.The government thought its best to help him as he was thrown out by his parents for his problems.
How cruel!I thought.Its somewhat like Hera throwing Hephaestus away because of his misshape.
Maya also told me, that she knew that the parents wouldn't have don't that and the orphanage workers were hiding something.
Any ways, some of the orphanage workers disliked him.He was quite mischievous and caused trouble most of the time as he had hard time knowing what's the right thing to do.
They decided to torment him as people like him were accidentally born and are supposed to be treated like waste.Maya heard them whispering among themselves when she went to the staff room to help get her teacher something.
