Locked in my heart
there are words that will never make my lips part.
They could be of love
or something rebelious and unheard of.
Maybe a mix
of horror and life's bliss.
Their dark and hidden
where even my own eyes can't see them.
The turmoil so deep
it's a secret I wish I didn't have to keep.
This weight on my shoulders may be too much.
For this pain there is no crutch.
If only someone had a key
they could see into and let these secrets free,
but no key has fit in this lock.
The day one does will be a complete shock.
Until then I sit here feeling down and out.
These secrets I hate, make me want to shout.
