self love

I wish you could see
The light in your eye
Darker and deeper
Than the entire night sky

I wish i could plant you
Deep in the mud
Till you realize your beauty
Blooming like the bud

I wish I could tell you
To build a museum in your heart
And take care of yourself
Like pieces of art

I wish I could put you together
Like the pieces of a puzzle big
And tell you of your voice
That melody, like the nightingale sing.

I wish I could show you
Your beautiful shapes
That like the butterfly
You under your catterpillar cape

I wish I could show you
You are a rose in the thorn racks
And tell you,
You are a daisy growing in the cracks.

Others might be better
But you are also a star.
You have choices strange
You could pet a storm for a change.

But I'm sorry I can't
Because it's up to you,
To know who you are,
And shower love true.

Stop underestimating your worth
Because even though you can't see it
You are carbon in the becoming of a diamond
You are the white light, yet to split to a rainbow.
You need to polish you, and stop that spark from fading.
You need to learn to love not only others, but also you.
