typical love story start, but set from (driver)'s point of view.
(driver) meets girl during a race weekend and she's like an angel - perfect in every way. her personality is everything that (driver) values and whenever he looks at her there is a sense of familiarity and comfort.
things seem like they couldn't be going better for (driver) until he starts mishearing things (oc) say.
"his ... are dropping"
"what?"
"i said my sister is dropping me off at the factory"
occurrences like that become more and more frequent as the rest of the season progresses, until (driver) suddenly snaps awake in hospital. panic sets in until his gf/fiancée/wife (oc) walks in with a clipboard, which promptly drops upon seeing (driver)'s eyes open.
"mr. (driver), you're awake!"
"what do you mean?"
"you had an accident during the monaco gp... don't you remember?"
"i... what? that's impossible."
