gray's pov;i sat alone on the sidewalk, happily alone and unbothered. i like being alone, i get to have time to myself and think things through.
i mean, some company wouldn't be bad but i honestly had no one to contact. my thoughts erased as i heard the sounds of feet shuffling next to me.
i looked up and saw a pretty girl standing there looking at me with a smile. she sat down and just litteraly smiled.
"yes?" i asked her confused on why she was just sitting there watching me drink my beverage.
"hi," she giggled. for a second, i thought she was a fan or something.
"do you like want a picture or something?" i questioned. she shook her head and rolled her eyes.
"are you like a celebrity or something? why are you being mean?" she asked.
"how am i being mean? you just came over here randomly, just watching me," i told her. she agreed with me, knowing that it was weird.
after a little bit of silence, i felt her hand slide on top of mine that was pressed against the floor.
i looked at her again in a bit of shock, i didn't know who this girl was yet she was touching me.
"i just wanted to hold you hand," she said. i felt weirded out at first but then when i looked at her, something about her face made me comfortable with her.
in an instant, i went from annoyed to somewhat calm. i grabbed her hand, interlocking my fingers with hers, yeah i know it's strange to just start grabbing hands with a stranger, but it felt right.
"i saw you alone, so i just wanted to come and comfort you, i don't know, maybe you wanted a friend, i'm y/n," she mumbled.
she read my mind, i actually did want someone here.
"i- thank you, for coming here and sitting with me," i stuttered. she smiled
"sorry for just coming over like that, but i wanted to talk to you," she said. i gave her a warm smile.
"thank you for being so caring."
