The history of Mewni is a long one. Full of tragedy, secrecy, betrayal, and lies. They have made enemies with many different races, but one was so terrifying to them, that they would rather take their own lives rather than fight even a single member...
Royalty: The Royal Family is rather...small, for such a long reign. Only a handful, as they live for so long. The first and longest running King was Zai, who was also the most powerful.
Anatomy: The anatomy of an Oozai is as simplistic as a child drawing. They have a basic system of veins, no bones, a brain and stomach. They do not produce waste, as their stomach acid digest everything to the very last spec.
An Oozai possesses no nose, so as an alternative, they use their long tongues like a lizard. Finally, they are all hermaphrodites, meaning they can reproduce with a male or female partner.
(In a lame man's terms, their pole can...go in...and become a hole. And if you REALLY wanna know what it looks like, the hell is wrong with you?)
In terms of body type, Oozai are one of two different kinds.
1: Cylindrical, like Caram below. Better suited for magic.
2: More humanoid, nearly 8ft tall. Like Zacharie below. Often a soldier.
Mouth: Some Oozai are born with a mouth that doesn't move when they talk. This is indicated if their teeth are visible 24/7. They can still open it to eat, however.
Subspecies: In some circumstances, Oozai can be born with one of two rare abilities.
1: They can become one of the many different elements of the universe.
2: They can transform a part of, or their entire body into that of an animal.
Magic: Unlike the yellow liquid from the Realm of Magic (I assume that's what it's supposed to be.), Oozai magic is depicted to be a white energy that radiates from their souls.
They can use this energy to generate spikes from any surface, fire their own unique projectiles, or "bullets", and create an Oozai Cannon, a heart-shaped head that fires a beam of raw magic, which drains said magic drastically, so they only use it as a last resort.
Hail to the King: A special charm placed on a handful of Oozai by the King himself. This charm takes the form of a third eye that appears on their forehead when the ability is activated. Said ability is a transformation, in which the user takes the form of Zai, but with their own features. They gain a small portion of his energy, strength, and his towering height.
Eyes: The most important part of an Oozai is their eyes, as they're what allows them to use magic in the first place. They are not physically attached, so they could harmlessly take one out, and put it back in. Their eyes are comprised of blackened sclera with a white pinprick, and will glow if they're feeling an emotion.
Green: Happiness
Blue: Sadness
Purple: Fear
Pink: Embarrassment
Dark Pink: Lust
Red: Extreme Pain, Anger
Black (Not actually glowing.): Hatred, Disbelief, Shock
Requiem: A rare, powerful variation to an Oozai's eyes.
