The cave was eery. It was huge, damp, and faint voices seemed to be floating all around her. The haunting feminine voices seemed to guide her, drawing her closer towards the source of the sound.
She stood in front of the fork, unable to decide which side to go to. She finally chose the right side, since the voices seemed to be stronger . The disembodied vocals finally transformed into a rhythmic chorus, an enigmatic resonating sound that gave her goosebumps. She was afraid , her heart thumping audibly, but she couldn't stop. Something drew her in - whether it was curiosity or a strangely paralyzing fear, she didn't know.
She finally entered the chamber were the sounds were coming from. Huge, bigger than the tunnels she'd been walking through, and downright chilly. Weird glowing orbs floated around the periphery, shining with a yellowish glow which wasn't bright enough to light up the cavern. Infact , it made the place look more ghastly.
And right in the centre, were those women. Whose voices have since long haunted her dreams, whispering in her ear, poisoning her heart and drowning her in self despair .
And now they chanted, low and quick , raising their hands up as if calling upon the devil himself . All of them were hooded, with their night black cloaks flowing down their tall, thin bodies. Bodies that floated in the air as they kept on chanting , forming a circle around the circular altar.
The stone altar was carefully made, with mysterious symbols adorning the ends of the pentacle. A long flat bladed knife, an athame as she knew it, floated above a ...body. A naked body, with occult symbols painted in red over the white skin.
And suddenly , the breathe whooshed out of her lungs as she spotted the familiar birth mark. A little red spot, just above the crook of the elbow.
"Katherine !! No ! "
She screamed as loud as she could, her mind blank with fear and panic.
What is going on? What is my sister doing here ?
What are they doing to my baby sister?!
