Emotionless Android

Chapter 5: An Attempt

The school bell rang and I made a bet with Celina today.

"let's go back to class" said Celina

"sure"

We went down the stairs and head back to class. I don't know where to start actually, we went to our designated place which is at the back.

I wondered about the bet we made and stared at Ethans face, thinking if it's actually possible that an android to hold an emotions.

Looking at his eyes I thought that why can't an android have an emotions? they can't laugh with us, be sad, get angry, being jealous or having their own decisions rather than taking control of them.

Can't they be free? it's like their just a hollow shell without feelings, a soulless dummy who isn't afraid of anything.

I felt sadness as I thought deeper and deeper which leads me the fact that androids..... can I change an androids life and to let them feel an emotions.

Can't you even feel loneliness when you don't have a choice but to follow orders?

Our eyes met.

I blushed..... wait I blushed at an android, this is so embarrassing. I make a diversion to make him think that I wasn't staring at him, this is awkward.... I need to say something to avoid this awkwardness "Wanna hang out with us at the rooftop at lunch?" my mouth suddenly opened itself without thinking.

"Okay" he replied

I didn't even expect him to agree to hang out with me and Celina, I can't believe I asked him to have lunch with us...

To be honest I haven't observe Ethan that much because he doesn't stand out, lucky him.....

He has a black hair and his face looks decent, I feel like there is something strange with him but I didn't even bother.

As I looked at Celina at my right, I saw her staring at me smirking..... like somethings written on my face.

"what?" I said

"Oh nothing I'm just happy that I'll win the bet"

"jumping to conclusions huh? well don't get too excited"

"It's impossible to have an android to have emotions"

" 2 Steaks for a year" I smiled at her

"REALLY?!? Don't take that back"

*Bell rang*

Some of the students went down to the cafeteria and the androids stood up and went somewhere but I hold on to Ethans's arms so that he will not join them.

"let's go to the rooftop" I said

"Okay~"

"Understood"

We went on the rooftop but the door was locked, it seems that a staff locked the door for no reason.

"so what now?" Celina looked at me

"Tell the teachers or staff?" I answered

"No we can't do that"

We looked at Ethan if and asks if he can unlock the door.

"That would be against the rules"

"no it is not against the rule, it is just unlocking the door"

"wai-" Celina looked at me as I was about to say a word, she winked at me and I immediately understood what she meant.

Looks like I'm going to be a delinquent..... or not, Ethan finally unlocks the door and we sat on the bench right on the middle of the rooftop.

We saw Ethan sitting with us, not eating anything. We finished eating our lunch and noticed that Ethan didn't even ate a single thing.

"do you even eat lunch Ethan?" I asked

"Yes"

"what do you even eat?"

"We eat vegetables and we turn it into energy"

"Ohhh how do you turn it into energy? Can I see can I see?" Celina teases Ethan

"Just leave him Celina"

"fine......" Celina pouted

"Do you usually make a decion for yourelf ethan?" I asked

"what do you mean?"

"you know....... you do things your way, like us eating on the rooftop" Celina added

"no"

"try thinking what you want to do" I replied

"Going back to class"

"looks like this is going to be hard" said Celina

*Bell rang*

"oh its already time, well lets try it again tomorrow since its saturday" I said

"are you free tomorrow Celina?"

"Yeah I'm free"

"How about you Ethan?"

"I'll go"

"then that's about it, meet me up on the park at east of the school" I replied

We went back to the class, as hours go by it is finally the end of class. Celina and I greeted farewell but we can't seem to find Ethan at this point but tomorrow we'll see him at the park by 8:00 in the morning.
