Firstly can I just say I'm so sorry about the picture ^ I just can't stop laughing every time I see it oh my god help me XD

Okay so I like completely got the episode, and wrote the exact words they said lmao. But for the story, anything!

Uploads every Saturday and Monday!

I do not own Doctor Who, no matter how much I wish to. All I own is Kayla!<3 The story is from The Sound Of Drums episode 12 of Season 3.

Woah guys. It's been about... I'm not even sure, like 5 years since I wrote this story? That's mad. Thank you everyone who is still finding this story and reading it!

However, I'm doing this edit just to give a good warning to everyone new, lol. This is old. I wrote it when I was 14, and is the first (and sadly last) fanfic I have done since, aside from its sequel. So expect grammatical errors, a pretty naff storyline and just a little bit of cringe. If you're into it, I salute you! My writing gets noticeably better as the story progresses (most notably in my sequel, Mad) so if you feel its getting a bit much, I don't think there's too much of a change it you want to read Mad as a standalone!

Thank you so so much once again to absolutely everyone! 30k views? That's mad! (Pun FULLY intended) ;)

Truth

Kayla's POV
I squealed as we teleported into an alleyway, and had quickly leaned my head against a brick building. "Oh, my head." Martha gasped as I felt my stomach shift.

"Ah, time travel with a captual. That's a killer." The Doctor groaned as Jack cracked his neck uncomforatably. "Can we never do that again?" I spoke hoarsely as Martha nodded with me in response.

The Doctor, as always, walked off as we stumbled slightly before following.

My name is Kayla Anor. I have light blue hair with a freckled face. You will never catch me wearing a dress. Shy I am not, I just know when and where to talk. The only people I am comfortable with is The Doctor, Martha and Jack. I've been a companion with the Doctor for a while now, just a bit after Rose but before Martha. Oh, he was so heartbroken over Rose. But I mostly remember Donna Noble. Ah. She was awesome.

Hope to see her again soon. Anyway, back to walking again.

"Still, least we made it." Jack grinned over at everyone. "Earth, 21st century by the look of it." He continued, looking around the place. "Talk about lucky." He laughed slightly as The Doctor kept walking forward. "That wasn't luck, that was me." He said, eyes fixed ahead.

"The moral is, if you're going to get stuck at the end of the universe, get stuck with an ex-time agent and his vortex manipulator." Jack said to Martha and I. "The Master, though, he's got the Tardis. He could be in any time or space." Martha interrupted, frowning slightly as I looked over at The Doctor.
"No, he's here." The Doctor said, "Trust me."

"Who is this Master anyway, and that voice at the end, that wasn't the proffessor." I spoke up as they looked to me. "If he's a Time Lord, then he must of regenerated." Jack answered as I frown. "What does that mean?" Martha asked.

"It means he changed his face, voice, body, everything. New man." Jack looked to Martha as I look past his shoulder, hearing something in the distance.

That tapping noise... I've heard that somewhere. My eyes glazed over as if I was forced to look at the old man tapping his fingers to the tin can.

Tap, tap, tap, tap.

"Then how are we gonna find him?" Martha questioned as her voice fades to the background. "I'll know him." The Doctor concluded.

"The moment I see him." He continued. "Time Lords always do."
