I sighed and slowly rose from my spot on the bed.
I had been sitting there for several minutes thinking.
Since it was sunny outside my family and I weren’t going to school.
I didn’t sparkle as much as the others did; instead, I sort of looked like someone sprinkled glitter over my body.
So I preferred not to go to school on sunny days. Then there were fewer questions.
We decided to go visit Jacob’s family since the last time we had seen them had been when Billy got sick, which was about six months ago.
I walked over to my closet and picked out a yellow wrap around dress and my orange converse high tops.
I went into the bathroom, slipped them on, and swiped a layer of lip gloss across my lips.
I pulled my curls into a ponytail, with a yellow ribbon. and tied it into a bow.
I was ready, without Alice or Rosalie’s help!
I laughed as I headed downstairs.
“Wow. I like it. Except the shoes.” said Rosalie critically.
Emmett and Jasper laughed.
“You can never win, can you Ari?” added Jasper as Alice and him left the room.
Devin came into the house and smiled when he saw me.
“Ready to go Ari? Ari’s huge family?” he said grinning, grabbing me into a hug.
My family, Devin, and I headed into our car and we drove off.
Innocence came on the radio and I sang along softly to myself.
Til I remembered Jacob, Renesmee, and Devin were in the car; Jacob and Renesmee were cracking up.
Devin merely smiled; he had a good handle on his emotions, which was a smart thing because otherwise I would attack him.
We pulled into Billy’s driveway a few minutes later.
I jumped out of the car and raced up to the garage.
Billy was sitting in the garage, smiling, until he noticed Devin.
Crud, I forgot I hadn’t told grandpa I was dating, imprinting a vampire.
I shrugged off those thoughts as I reached down and gave Billy a hug.
“Grandpa, this is Devin, my vampire boyfriend.”I said softly.
“I’m Billy. And sweetheart, where’s my hello?”said grandpa.
I laughed and hugged him again.
“Happy now?” I said as Billy went inside with Renesmee and Jacob.
“Can we go on a walk? Visit the pack?” I said to Devin.
He nodded and we headed out into the woods.
In a few minutes, a howl was heard as a huge wolf entered the area.
I recognized her immediately.
“LEAH!” I screamed as I reached down and petted her.
When she shape shifted back to human form, I hugged her.
“Who’s this piece of dirt?”she said rudely and I frowned.
“BE NICE! HE’S MY BOYFRIEND! AND LET’S HAVE WORLD PEACE FOR TODAY OKAY?! AND HIS NAME IS DEVIN!” I screamed.
She merely laughed and said, “Kay but the pack is out today. I’m the only one around here today.”
I said, “That’s fine. You’re my favorite anyway.”
She grinned and we continued our walk to the cabin.
Along the way, we saw 10 hobos!
It was crazy.
And the first five hitted on Leah like crazy til she bit them.
The other five were crazy, rambling things about vampires, squirrel shape shifters, and tornado eaters.
We spent the rest of the day joking, playing board games (In which Leah knocked over the board whenever she lost. Except in Quelf!), and hanging out.
I was sad when we had to leave.
