STRENGTHS: invisibility: thanks to her phantom powers, vera can turn either slightly transparent or completely invisible. intangibility: she can phase through people/objects. partial flight: vera is able to produce short, quick bursts of flight about a foot off the ground. this allows her to move faster. shape-shifting: in what she calls her "phantom face", vera can alter her face to have completely white eyes, elongated teeth, etc. she can use this to catch enemies off-guard and attack them. hand-to-hand combat: vera was trained by peter hale in hand-to-hand. she is used to fighting werewolves and has taken isaac down on multiple occasions. bilingual: vera's first language is spanish, but she's also fluent in english.
WEAKNESSES: impulsivity: she often thinks little of the consequences of her actions. when vera feels something strongly, she will act on it unless someone physically stops her. forgetfulness: vera often forgets to take her ADHD medication, which is, ironically, a symptom of her ADHD. smoke sticks: vera is weak to the bundle of flaming herbs known as a smoke stick. they render her completely paralyzed. if untreated with a crystal bath to get rid of the energy, vera will seize, which may eventually lead to death. mountain ash: since vera is a shape-shifter, she is unable to cross mountain-ash barriers. this is the only thing she cannot phase through with her intangibility.
